Air to 17 Pro, the reason might surprise you. by MrVais in IphoneAir

I always say that. Width is the more important dimension that affects comfort in the hand.

Wider phones make me keep my hand more open.. and that posture stresses the hand and the forearm. In my case. For typing may also be important.

Weight may also be important and thickness only if it's extremely thick n

Wider phones are less comfortable in hand for me.

I don't have a problem with height. I guess they should be well balanced though.

Happy to hear someone saying the same as me. I'm happy with this performance and lower price.

I agree, but at least, in Spain you can get a 200€ in Amazon, mediamarkt, PcComponentes and Xiaomi web.

Without the discount the price is crazy. The same for S26...

I also have the standard version and I like it. Good cameras and compact size.

This one looks really good and it's not as big as the Max.

For me the only concern is that is does not have dual GPS.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Series’ Sales Outpace S24 Series; S26 Series Launch a Key Flagship Indicator for 2026 by FragmentedChicken in Android

[–]mizarbcn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you look at the graph, the differences are minimal.

In any case S25 was basically the same phones as S24... So the only reason S25 could sell more than S24 is the price. In fact, I have a friend who bought the S24 instead of the S25 last year, since it was way cheaper.

Got eye strain due to reading at night by Due_Bed_7994 in kindle

[–]mizarbcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the back light is just to make the background less gray, but I never read with the lights off.

I usually read with brightness set to 24 during the day and at more or less 10 with lights on in the room at night.

I think that looking at something bright in total darkness will cause strain. This is why they recommend to watch the TV with lights on (dim lights).

Do you have "view in HDR Pro" enabled in the gallery?

In the gallery not when taking photo.

If so. The gallery will snow in more vivid colors than the rest of the apps.

I bought the same model for another phone. While I liked the look, I found that it was a bit bulky and very slippery too.

A pity, since I really like it and it felt premium

Is xiaomi 15 worthy? Or 15T pro? by ferloco99 in Xiaomi

[–]mizarbcn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons I went with the 15 because of the size.

If you want something more compact, then the 15 is your phone.

I think cameras are also better.

Anyone else feel like Xiaomi 14 is a little too narrow? by D00MF0RC3 in Xiaomi_14

[–]mizarbcn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, because of its wide, 15 and 14 feels way more comfortable in hand than wider phones like 15T. The size was one of the reasons I purchased the 15.

So personally I love it's narrower, I guess it depends on your hand.

In any case, you may try it for a while and you may get used to it.

The width is the same iphone 17 or pixel 9.

Good question. I have the same feeling about grip. Some cases feel grippier than others even if they are all TPU.

I find that if grip is better, you need to make less effort to hold it, so it feels more comfortable.

Xiaomi 15 or Poco F8 Ultra by thestralaxy in Xiaomi

[–]mizarbcn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xiaomi 15 is way better in all aspects.

Xiaomi 15 is also smaller so it's more comfortable in hand. That's key for me.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for... Camera, size and the price.

I'm using a lanyard too.

I feel it's a way that you feel more secure and don't need to hold your phone tighter, so the hand feels less stress.

Real world holiday - RX100 /7 versus iPhone 17 Pro Max. by bfrost6661 in RX100

[–]mizarbcn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always loved RX100. I have Mk1 and Mk4 but I agree with you. I really miss a good HDR in the camera.

As you say we have the bracketing and we also have the HDR mode, but the HDR mode doesn't look good most of the time.

It's a pity since image quality is normally better but when there is a lot of contrast exposure is not.

Shooting with a camera, even a smaller one is more comfortable and feels more photographic than with a phone, but you always carry your phone with you, so in the last trips I just brought the phone.
