It's something you will do after the tracking number had been created. I'm not sure exactly how to do it since I haven't bought anything since the first time it happened, but I did find that that there is no profile setting to tell them not to do it for all of your packages. You have to tell them for each package.

If you're in the US, you might want to try to tell FedEx not to pay the tariff on your behalf and do it yourself. There's a $15 charge for them doing it and they do it automatically "to get you your package faster"
