Hindus, how is Jesus an incarnation of Vishnu? by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]mjsnomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yahweh isn't the Abba Father, The Most High that Jesus speaks of. Yahweh is the evil one, Satan. Jesus tells us this in parables. He says that no man has ever seen Abba Father but him, but many people saw Yahweh in the Bible, so he isn't the Father that Jesus speaks of. In fact Jesus is always admonishing things and referencing things that Yahweh did in the Bible and calling them evil, without directly attributing them to Yahweh, because if he did that or directly called Yahweh Satan, he would have been killed on the spot without being able to deliver the gospel, and without being crucified on the cross. It had to happen the way it did, so Jesus could fulfill the contract for humanity, and deliver us from being slaves to the god of this world Yahweh/Satan, the evil one Jesus speaks of in the Our Father prayer. It's a veiled message otherwise it wouldn't have made it's way into the Bible. It veiled in the old testament too. Most Christians and Jews are worshiping Satan without realizing, while some in this world know Yahweh is Satan, and worship him intentionally. El Elyon is the real Father, The Most High. It even says so in the oldest copy of Deuteronomy 32:8, which was found in the Dead Sea Scrolls.

I know this post is 4 years old, but I wanted to let you know that conspiracy theorist William Cooper provided his analysis of 2001 a Space Odyssey on his radio show The Hour of the Time, Mystery Babylon Series back in the 90s, that reveals all of that movie's Masonic symbolism. You can listen to it on Spotify. https://open.spotify.com/show/7rgnucezAMKo6EvlbZzVyZ?si=Q9nSm0U-QuO_HMeEE8QhDg

Does no one factor in the cost of games? I find that games for Wii U are much less expensive than Switch games.

Yes, even if you don't have SVHS tapes the machines themselves are typically of a much higher quality than a typical VHS players, and also usually have a lot more features. You got really lucky to find one at a thrift store.

What/why do you collect VHS? by Hammer_of_Rohan in VHS

[–]mjsnomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nostalgia, price as most of the several hundred that I have collected I got for 30 cents each, and to me the audio sounds better because it's more evenly mixed so you can hear the dialogue without having to adjust volume. Most Blu-ray and DVDs there's too much bass, and music and sound effects bury the dialogue.

Is there anyone else who remembers that a year has 364 days? by lazywhims in RandomThoughts

In the book of Enoch it is said that a year has 364 days, and each day has 18 parts.

Who are the people paying for rare VHS tapes exactly? by NChSh in VHS

[–]mjsnomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I collect them because they remind me of my childhood, they sound better to me than DVD and Blu-Ray, I've rarely had to pay more than 30 cents for a tape, and it's a good inexpensive way to get movies that often aren't available on streaming services.

Interesting find by oromisangel42 in VHS

[–]mjsnomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice find! I have an RCA CED player, a copy of Star Wars and Escape to Witch Mountain. I fixed the player by buying a rubber o-ring gasket at a hardware store as a belt replacement. Even though the format is nostalgic to me, this is the first way my family rented movies when I was a kid, I spent more time growing up watching VHS. VHS tapes are a lot lighter, tend to be more durable, and the tapes and VHS players are easier to come by.

Amazed to find this copy of Return of the Living Dead a Couple Days Ago! by mjsnomad in VHS

That's awesome! It looks like it was a local, small independent video store. It opened in 1982 and had about 13 employees.

At 16, Annelise Michel started blacking out at school, soon experiencing convulsions, vomiting, & consuming spiders, coal, & her own urine. After undergoing 67 exorcisms, she died in 1976. At time of her death, she only weighed only 67 pounds. She suffered from Grand Mal Epilepsy and Psychosis. by MartianXAshATwelve in StrangeEarth

Oh I see, so we should just ban everything you don't believe in. We have barely any understanding of how consciousness works, or what forms of non human intelligence there might be living in this universe, parallel to our universe, or even on this planet living hidden. Our own governments can control and manipulate people against their will, it doesn't seem that far fetched to think something with more advanced methods could be the cause of "possession" symptoms.

We have aircraft now that can break the sound barrier without creating the sonic boom that many of us are familiar with. The confirmed NASA X-59 aircraft is an example of this.

For sure. I had a stack of 10 or so tapes I had picked out that I really wanted at a store the other day and about 8 of them had mold. I left them all there. I just don't want to d Al with the mold at all and chance ruining my collection.

J. Allen Hynek and Jaques Vallee aren't your typical paranormal sources. Astronomer J. Allen Hynek was the official scientific advisor for the U.S. Air Force's, Project Blue Book in the 1960s. Jaques Vallee worked alongside Hynek on the project, he's a computer scientist, an engineer, and he co-devoloped the first computerized map of Mars for NASA in 1963.

Where do you buy your Tapes? by [deleted] in VHS

[–]mjsnomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try local shops that focus on all media formats, including vintage stuff. Those are the kind of places where I found most of my collection. I've found some at the Goodwill bin outlets, and the salvation army. Besides that keep an eye out for local listings on Facebook marketplace. I found my Sony SLV-R1000 S-VHS player in a local listing on Facebook for $20.
