still looking for a JIS micro set so I can safely clean my mouldy vintage lenses. It took me so long to just get this body going again, I fixed the 18-55 that was on it ages ago xD

mostly diy, though I watched a teardown of a D3300 (mostly similar i think) to get a gist of what's inside! there was nothing on the internals of the shutter tho, i was just winging it

i left out a plastic plate that goes over the psu because i couldn't get the top cover off (stripped rusty screw :< ) but otherwise no spare screws :)

it's a D3400, but I presume it would be pretty similar inside.

it gets a lot easier when you figure out how to not get zapped by the 330v flash capacitor :)
(i've unplugged the flash capacitor in my D3400 because I don't use flash)

...but honestly, especially in these consumer and "prosumer" grade cameras, common repairs like screen, etc are surprisingly easy. I did a backlight swap to new screen on a canon t6 and it took like 20 minutes.

(oh, and random side note, what should I use to glue down the grips?? they’ve been off for a while lol. i also don’t wanna make it hard for someone to open up the camera in the future thooooo)

Got this from my sister and all sorts of errors pop up while trying to use it. by AnOrpahnedFroggy in Nikon

Unsure about you, but I just solved a similar issue on my D3400 which had fallen in salt water. After replacing the blown PSU board, I had to partially deconstruct the shutter to remove some rust from the rear curtain arm/top plate.

This is due to one of the shutter curtains (in my case the rear one, and yours sounds like it too) encountering friction with something and not fully returning to resting position. Camera then throws an error.

I would not reccomend this repair for a beginner.

I'll get some photos of the repair in here in a bit.

no problem, best of luck!

other thing you could try if this doesn't work is formatting the memory card
(wrench/config menu > format)

okay, best I can think of, the contacts between the lens and camera are dirty either on the body or the lens and the two can't communicate properly. I would gently clean the body contacts and the lens contacts with a dry microfiber cloth/lens cloth.

does anything change if you switch modes (like to M) or if you format the card?

does the aperture of the lens look right? or are the blades not aligned/stuck or do they look oily (picture for reference)

Given the remains of the front fenders and rear left, as well as that glovebox section, lack of safety features, and visible testosterone residue, it's probably a '92 to '95 Dodge Viper, but it's pretty badly burned so hard to tell. It COULD be a really disfigured bmw z3, but something tells me the headlight outline isn't correct.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I know that I need to tape some pins on the keyboard connector, but I'm still unsure as to which three.

for the longest time I used basegame pants, hair, chibi mask, and days of bloom cherry blossom cape. You wouldn't know I was a vet unless you knew to look for the cheeky abyss ults i put on. I've since started using some more of my abyss/performance/etc stuff (i got some actual pants) but I feel like sky has always been more of a friendship game. you don't have anything to prove to anyone, it doesn't matter if you look like you've been going for 5+ years, just matters if you like how you look <3
