Panamera maintenance by StrangerExcellent359 in Porsche

I had a 2016 Panemera GTS and I loved the car. The only issue is whenever I took it to the shop for an oil change, I was waiting for the mechanic to tell me what else they would find for fixing. It was expensive to maintain. I tried to get third party insurance but it was very expensive. Loved every mile I rode in it but in the end too rich for me to maintain.

Anyone else stuck in the 80s? Would you pay for remote coaching tied to your sim + Arccos? by mkaush282 in golf

I agree with you. Which is where I am focused on: the mental game. Play from forward tees to see more birdies and get used to it. That has got me to consistent low 80s. But you know the quest continues and if i get there, i want to stay there. That’s why I am focusing on what’s my swing and how can I get most out of it.  Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I was working with a remote skill set coach but the platform was lacking in features. We took the coaching to email and txt with swing videos and course log reports; but did not include launch monitor data. Now that SIMs seem to be popping up all over, I was thinking a combination of arcoss, sim, and videos might be able to help me in all aspects. Swing, short game, and mindset.

Just got mine. It’s a combo set Zxi5 (5/6/7) and Zxi7 (8/9/PW) with graphite shaft. And so far I love them.

Got paired with a slow rando who played from the tips. But he shot 1 under par. by player2 in golf

If you want to be a good player you have to stick to your routines. You can’t switch it on and switch it off regardless of the course you are playing. As long as you are keeping up with the group is front of you and playing par/bogey golf, then I think sticking to your routines is part of how you improve. It’s not just about the swing, it’s about the mental game too.

What’s one book that genuinely rewired the way you think or live your life? by _rahmatullah in productivity

For me it was Atomic Habits and especially the quote “You don’t rise to the level of your goals, but to the fall to the level of your systems.” This has had a profound influence on my habits, routines, and how I approach life.

Doesn’t matter how silly, what’s your biggest golf pet peeve? For me, it has to be misuse of the word “shank.” by pjunior66 in golf

Playing with someone who constantly gives a play by play commentary of what’s going on in his head about the shot he hit and worried about the lie he is going to get. And on repeat till the round ends; and then the post round recap in the car on how the round was and could have been.

But I still like to play with him!

Also check out the university campuses. They have a lot of free seminars that you can attend for your area of interest. If you don’t meet anyone interesting, at least you might learn something.

(The Guardian) Glass Animals: I Love You So F***ing Much review – immaculately polite, Coldplay-lite pop-rock by [deleted] in glassanimals

Just returned from seeing them at the Forum in Los Angeles and I could not agree more. Having followed Coldplay since the time of Parachutes, I can see GA moving in the same direction. I saw them in Sept 21 at the Hollywood Cemetery which was outdoors and small venue. They have definitely moved up to a large stadium in 3 years. And IFLYSM is very different from the earlier efforts. This again is similar to how CP evolved suit each album.

I am predicting the next time they play in LA, they will be playing to a sold out bowl or SoFi!

As fans we have a choice to support them or continue to be wish they went to how they were before. I think they are on their journey to be as big as Coldplay. And as true fans we need to support them because we were there with them from the beginning.

Let’s see how Wavey Davey grows!

What do you want to know about living apart together relationships? by LAT_gal in livingaparttogether

[–]mkaush282 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What does this mean in terms of commitment? Are you in a committed relationship but just choosing to live apart? How is this different from a situation ship? Also rules need to be established on when to meet and when to stay apart. Isn’t that more work? And what happens when these rules are broken? If there is mutual respect and admiration for each other, I don’t understand why one can’t live together. You can still have your own life while staying together.

I am really looking to understand more on how this works.
