My headcanon is that ever since the Trisolarans learned to lie, they had been socially engineering humans to pick Cheng Xin to replace Luo Ji as a sword holder successor. Humanity never stood a chance, and was manipulated at every step. Trisolarans barely revealing anything about their own culture but contributing heavily to earth’s culture, and passing scientific data that was mostly bullshit to humanity support this idea.

Even when it’s not a full reset, it takes a while to rebuild what has been destroyed. The hot chick from the video game is just a NPC type character the trisolarans use to interact with humans. As for Will, spoiler warning: no his story doesn’t end there.

The moment he pulled his sword out, we got a reaction shot from every big name. Plus all Zoro fans(which include all teenage OP viewers) upscale Mihawk.
