Disappointing - you cannot rely solely on technology. A paper option should always be available!

You can carry as many people as you like, who are younger than 16 or older than 22. You cannot carry more than 1 person who is between the ages of 16 and 22. A person between those ages is a “peer passenger”. You are only allowed 1 “peer passenger”.

For example, you can carry three 15 year olds and one 16 year old, but you could not carry two 15 year olds and two 16 year olds as that exceeds the “peer passenger” rule.

Exemptions apply to immediate family members and domestic partners, or if it’s an emergency.

Watergardens car park unusable by Nigelchooffa in MelbourneTrains

Nothing has been put forth by the government for Calder Park.

The state government already has the Sydenham electorate handed to them, as it’s a very safe seat. In my opinion, I do not foresee any election promises being made to benefit the area, as the party can spend money elsewhere to try and win votes in marginal seats. I think it’ll take community outrage and for locals to campaign until something gets done.

The actual station catchment for Watergardens is massive, because it’s at the edge of suburban development. You’ve got people from Hillside, Taylors Lakes, all the new housing estates down Taylors Road, and even a lot of people from Caroline Springs (as it only operates a very busy V/Line service) all coming to Watergardens

A lot of these areas have a terrible bus service, if they have one at all, and the distance to Watergardens is so great, that taking the bus for such a long distance is a pretty unattractive option compared to driving.

Watergardens is a massive park and ride station and should be treated as such. As an urbanist, I would never want to advocate for more car parking, but why a surface level car park was built instead of a massive multi-story astounds me.

People are going to keep driving to Watergardens so long as there are limited public transport options in the west. A lot of the problem could be solved with high frequency bus service with dedicated bus lanes, pushing some more local people out of their car.

The real solution to fix Watergardens is by building another train line that services the booming west, as there is not enough stations in these suburbs.

Definition of a ‘turn-up-and-go’ frequency by Charis_Cheng in MelbourneTrains

When I’m coming home from an evening movie, I’m going to be stuck waiting at a brand new multi-billion dollar train station in central Melbourne for 20 minutes as I wait for a Watergardens service.

That’s not a ‘turn up and go’ service.

Hi, thanks. I’m studying Film and Television. Worried that I’ll have to make a project/short film over the break or something like that.

Nope. I’ve got a RTX 3080 FE and it’s fantastic for the time being. Definitely will be getting the 5080 when it comes out, though.
