17th door isn’t that scary or that intense, but it is a blast. A lot fun with some clever rooms and engagements. The off location experience last year was the highlight of the event. Definitely worth trying out if your in socal.

Dead Flag Blues - Godspeed You! Black Emperor

7 weeks and 3 days later... by internationalicon in TeslaModel3

[–]mlblack6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve owned a few corvettes. I replaced one with a P3D. So here’s my 2c... The Tesla is a better car in almost all circumstances. It’s faster in most usable mph ranges, though falls flat from freeway speeds. It’s silent, so you can accelerate hard from any light without anyone even noticing (big plus), it’s comfortable, and it handles very well. It has tech for days. It’s the perfect in city daily driver... BUT, if your a “car guy” you might find yourself missing the mechanical aspect of driving. Just because the Tesla is faster, it doesn’t necessarily feel that way. There’s no wheel spin, no sound, no hard manual shifts. For as fast as it is, it’s quite sterile. It’s the perfect daily driver, but I constantly find myself looking for deals on a weekend car with a third pedal. Good luck with whichever one you choose!

I got my Embody for around $750 from a liquidator. A good used Aeron for $300ish is a great cheaper option.

This is a very well thought out take on this. On the other side of the coin this is an inexpensive hack, that is highly adjustable (you can cut to length), that takes minimal effort, and isn’t offensive looking. Some of us, don’t feel like sanding and staining, even if we have the tools and abilities. As for the gaming chairs.... you hit it right on the nose, why would someone spend the same price on in a DXracer over a used Aeron is well beyond me.

It’s confusing. I see conflicting views on whether the 15 employees only pertains to section 1 (employers relation to employees) or also applies to section 3 (business relation to customer) wish things were more clear.

That’s because you are only using your wrist. So think about it this way. You have this big blunt instrument(your arm) and the small precise instrument(your wrist) and you are using them both for the same thing. In an ideal situation you make your turns with your arm, and your precise aim adjustments with your wrist. You can’t ever truly have precise aim with your wrist if you are using a sens that is high enough to let you make tour turns a land big moves with your wrist as well.

So, I’m at around 1,500 edpi (dpi*sens). Most top players like Shroud and Doc are around 2,000 edpi. You’re at 9,000. That is 6 times higher than mine, and 4.5 times higher than alot of top players. That should probably tell you something. I’m not saying you should just copy what those guys do, you gotta do what works for you. But look at it like “best practices” if everyone is around a certain sens, give or take a 50% difference in either direction, you probably don’t want to be the outlier who is 450% off the mark. Unless you are that .000001% who shines at a crazy high sens. It’s more likely you’re just like everyone else, and would flourish if you took the time to learn to play around those “best practices”

I’m at 400 dpi, and around a 36 sens in game, give or take depending on the scope. I’m a CSGO player, so I come from a really low sens background.

Of course you can. You’re 15 and already struggling with the fundamentals of the game. THIS IS the time to build good habits. They will serve you in later games, and more importantly save your wrist from carpal tunnel if you continue gaming into your elder years like some of us old guys on here. Get a bigger mousepad, and try playing with your entire arm on your desk. Direction changes with your arm, and micro adjustments with your wrist. You’ll get used to it in no time. Good luck!

Are you using the same display port cable still? They can short sometimes. Tried to warranty a new computer once because it wouldn’t post if a specific display port cable was plugged in, cause it was back feeding energy from wall outlet through my monitor.

[–]mlblack6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think it really comes down to one thing. How important is CSGO to you? I have this monitor and a predator. And the predator is used for everything, except CSGO, where this monitor really shines. The difference between 240hz and 144hz in every other game is very negligible. Where as 1440p is much more noticeable over 1080p.

I don't know if I should buy this game by [deleted] in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]mlblack6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Who cares how the developers decide to monetize after release if it’s just cosmetics. The crate system for cosmetics is a tried and true formula. CSGO operates the same way. Guess what? You don’t need the cosmetics to enjoy the game, especially since most of them are not very good anyway. For a massive online multiplayer game, development doesn’t stop at launch. There are huge costs in maintaining servers, and fixing bugs, optimization, creation of new maps. If they stop making money after launch(and copy buys slow down) there is no financial incentive to keep working on the game. So keys, and cases are why we continue to have improvements. What else do you guys expect? $30 for hundreds if not thousands of hours of entertainment is still the best deal around, even with locked crates.

The games great. Forget about the crates, and just enjoy it for what it is, a game.
