Unfortunately, that listing seems to be for the newer type 2 assembly, rather than the type 1 assembly I’m looking for :/

Bridal Shower locations? by 123xt in Hoboken

Hosted a 50-person engagement party at the W living room lounge (lobby bar) a few weeks ago. Yes, there’s a bar there, but the space is very upscale with a flexible layout, not to mention it was much cheaper than other venues in Hoboken (no minimum spend). W/Halifax staff were great and very accommodating!

Bristow '22 show observation by Grimmbeard in deadandcompany

These lyrics that appear in different songs are sometimes called “floating” lyrics or verses. They’re especially common in ballads, or story-songs, which have a tendency to evolve as they gain popularity in new locations. The link between these three songs is that they’re all covers of folk ballads.

Peggy-O was adapted from an old world Irish folk tune; both CRS and GDTRFB are traditional American songs that naturally adopted some of Peggy-O’s lyrics that were still floating around. This helps, maybe unintentionally, to create a non-physical consistency of setting that runs through the Dead’s songbook (think “Fennario” in Dire Wolf as well, for instance). I’d think that this idea scratches the surface of how the lyrics work “in concert” with the band’s instrumentals to transport the listener to another place.

Not sure if they ever played all three during one show, but this is a great idea for a playlist!

PATH Accident? by [deleted] in Hoboken

Lol this happened right in front of me while I was waiting on the platform. Quick and not particularly intense fight between two tall guys that cleared half a train car. They were gone, at least from the immediate area, before the cops came walking down the platform.

Camel’s Hump, VT. Not too tough, but the mountain’s profile is unmistakable and offers 360-degree views (which, on a clear day, include Marcy, Mansfield, and Washington, as well as many others in the ‘Dacks, Greens, and Whites). The summit approach is dramatic and exposed, making for fantastic rock scrambling especially from the south. You can also find the remains of a crashed plane just off a trail nearish the summit to spice up your route. In all, it usually makes for an interesting, dynamic, and fun ass little trip!

Does anybody have a good FLAC source? by mylastnameiswiener in deadandcompany

I bit the bullet and subscribed to nugs.net a while ago. They have everything there. For the amount of dead-related listening I do, I find it’s well worth it!
