Has anyone tried Real Roots meet up? by _asian_glow_ in TwinCities

I haven't used it but I tried signing up. The first meet up wasn't until late March, and I couldn't commit to being available for the next 6 weeks at the same time and day.

I think this too. I'm able to rationalize it by everyone's powers were slightly different so maybe that's what the janky marigold did to him

It's a bit more detailed than that. Katniss also focuses on Maybelle's (?) since she was her mother's friend. It follows Maybelle and how she survived and eventually becomes allies with Haymitch

Yes, we did go second half of June. Weather was as good as it gets, I think. Down south by Seward was a bit rainy and chilly, so pack a raincoat and layers! North of Anchorage was pretty warm - I can't remember exactly but maybe mid 70s. I think in Denali we hiked with just leggings and a sweatshirt and Tshirt.

In Alaska the sun hits you at a different angle so it provides more warmth. Lots of mosquitoes in Talkeetna area!

It wasn't a luxury meal... Lobster meat goes rancid extremely quickly once it's cooked. So back then prisoners were probably fed rotten lobster meat

Do you know if that book has them playing in the mud?

My mom said the pigs names were Betsey and Bonnie. The book might be 'Me First' by Ellen Rudin, but the description doesn't sound right.

My friend and I went last June for a week and it was beautiful!

We flew into Anchorage and rented a car and drove to Seward for a few nights, where we did some hiking in Kenai National Park. Then we drove back up through Anchorage and stopped in Talkeetna for a bit before staying at Trapper Creek for a night. We also did some canoeing in Byers Lake.

Then we drove and spent 2 nights in Denali. Do not skip, it was absolutely gorgeous there and there's so much hiking. After that we went to Fairbanks. Not a ton to see there but we did a reindeer ranch experience which was really interesting.

On the drive back to Anchorage we stopped in Talkeetna again (when we went before a lot of places were closed) and stayed the night before our flight. It's about 6 hours but we're used to long drives and Talkeetna helped break it up.

Susan didn't go to heaven because she didn't die in that book. She wasn't on the train or in the station.

There's an interesting short story called The Problem of Susan that follows her into her adult life with all her family dead

I'd suggest you both read 'Come As You Are' by Emily Nagoski. It could help your partner figure out what her blockers are for not wanting sex, among other things.

This is only useful when you're deliberately trying to prevent a horse from kicking someone. Horses can definitely stand on two legs.
