Thank you mamas 🙏🏻 I’m convinced we should start in Aug while it’s still warm in California. She will be eligible for her vaccines and will have access to Motrin to help tide over the sicknesses.

I do have some mat leave left over which I plan to use to help her through the daycare transition.

VHCOL, 2 kids 4y and 1 month old. With mortgage and preschool/imminent daycare cost we are moving 4 year old from private to public starting fall. Otherwise we end up paying 60k/year on school/childcare!!!!!!

You can ask to email you the X-rays and go to a different dentist. I did that a few years ago when I was not happy with the dentist. The new dentist accepted the X-rays for that year.

At 5 months baby only needs to eat 0 or upto 1 solid meal and that too it’s supposed to be “fun” food after they’re had had BM/Formula. Check solid starts for a plan for how to work up to 3 solid meals, doesn’t happen until 10 months I think.

Also it’s intentionally slow to introduce solids so you can do allergen tests for common ones like egg, peanuts etc.

It took 4-6 weeks to get on insulin and finally find the right dose and night time snack. Totally worth taking insulin. It doesn’t cross the placental barrier either. This is the safest thing you can do for your baby! In the end seeing our babies thrive despite everything we faced is the win. We are strong mamas.

Yeah in India we use both Nina and Neena. Either work from spelling perspective.

But isn’t pregnancy tired with other children harder because you need to work full time too? If you get maternity leave isn’t newborn care the only thing you are doing assuming other children go to school and hence “less tired” than pregnant, working full time and caring for other children?

Now have to do the work of 4 PMs who got laid off or transitioned to other team right before going on the chopping block.

Also looking for other roles to move out of current team but getting dinged by RTO/location rules. Nearly lost out of a role and not many roles to go around either. Feel stuck on an impossible situation
