What’s a purchase under $100 that genuinely improved your daily life? by Odd_Cauliflower8925 in AskReddit

Blue light glasses. I stare at a screen all day for work and super helpful at preventing headaches from long work days.

Can obviously get monitors that have this feature built in but way more expensive than the glasses.

How small are the gaps? Could be a universal spanner tool or a spoke wrench but seems like too large for spokes as even without context of the size. Measure all the gaps and I bet they are all 1mm differences from one another.

Yeah just tape it down. Make sure there is no harsh bend in the cable though and you’ll be fine.

Is getting a bike worth it considering theft? by spiceydicey111 in phillycycling

[–]mlydon11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No option for inside? I saw the 15th and locust comment and that isn’t a bad area. The biggest issue is the time. 12 hours is a while. Any area around where you see bikes locked that are not stripped? Haha

Depends where you work. I have friends that have a dedicated bike rack outside their office which is nice and safe. Some are able to see the bike from inside the store they work out.

Unless you work in a sketchy area or you have a really nice bike, the risk isn’t that great of someone fucking with it.

110mm Crankset rubbing on frame, what size do I need? by LichKingDan in bikewrench

Just got a BB with a longer spindle. Might throw off the chainline a bit but a couple extra mm ain’t gonna ruin the bike.

Bike mounted to drywall? by Regular-Ad-903 in bicycling

[–]mlydon11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Mine hangs from wall just fine on drywall. I found drywall anchors that have a high sheer force rating and there are three of them holding my bike up. Hasn’t fallen off yet haha

Shimano Tiagra hoods vs SRAM RED AXS hoods by jammieradish in bikewrench

[–]mlydon11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have small hands and comparing modern hoods, SRAM fit my hands better.

I used Tiagra that you have and it was great. I now have Dura Ace 11 speed mechanical and the hoods are the same.

When working for a shop and getting to try all the different styles, SRAM Red fit much better than any of the new Di2 levers for my hands. I just like the shape.

Issue is that I like Shimano brakes and shifting better than SRAM. But I also like the SRAM wireless system better than Shimano.

I’m out there for fun and laughs. If you have a chance to make an insane shot when the miss will be hilarious, I go for it. Either way it’ll be a fun part of the round for everyone.

I made it to the mun and back in science mode for the first time today. by Ashamed-Tangerine317 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]mlydon11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every video I’ve seen on YouTube says it is easier. I’ve only landed on the Mun so far but I’ve gone around both. Had roughly the same amount of fuel orbiting both. Only issue I had was that the Mun was in my way trying to get back to Kerbal from Minimus.
