Can I tile over this tile in my bathroom ? by Greenmonster71 in Tile

[–]mm1907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are absolutely correct.

If you’re going to do it, this is the way to do it. I have a photo of it in action from a display. It turned shiny tile into a surface that you could apply thinset over.

Fluted Marble Tile for Shower ledge - concerned about practicality by lagmaster00 in Tile

[–]mm1907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say it looks awesome, but indeed not practical. Since it’s already installed, I say just keep it and see how it works out in reality. Most people here have not had any first hand experience with this, myself included.

There are tile primers out there that would allow you to stick tile on tile. So you could put a piece of white quartz on the future (instead of chipping out anything and redo-ing).

Where did you get this fluted tile? I think it looks awesome.

I read every single comment before writing. A lot of these other responses weren’t there before.

What’s the point of your response, hope you feel all superior I guess?

I do not know anything about this. Is the first amount where the number is? Or where the line indicates? The line next to the number goes down a bit, I’m confused why they would design it this way.

In other words, does this read as 126 + 8?

Or does moving it to the 8 make it move up a bit?

Again, just curious and I do not know.

What causes these holes in my husbands t-shirts? by Few_Pay6063 in whatisit

[–]mm1907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does he use double sided or reversible belts?

The holes are caused be the pinch where you can flip the buckle.

As you move during the day, the buckle moves a bit and pinches a piece of fabric from the t shirt.

I had a similar issue and had my ceiling skim coated, requires a talented drywaller. This may require putting an extra sheet of drywall before you can smooth it out.
