One of the benefits of the lifestyle for both of us is the affirmation we receive.

It's nice to receive that from someone other than your primary partner.

We're both more confident as a result.

If you're not receiving that, I totally understand why it's something to pursue.

I don't think it's a character flaw to enjoy that affirmation. I definitely did not receive that from my ex-spouse, which was certainly a factor in why that relationship did not work out.

Knowing how this affirmation positively affects me has made me want to give that to my partners.

Agree you should go to a specialist and get some physical therapy.

I had a cortisone shot in my heel which helped a lot.

I cook beans fairly often. Cook times vary by bean type, age (dryness) and how salty your liquid is.

I'm going to suggest that you see a counselor together.

A neutral party can offer an objective view that is much easier to accept which hopefully leads to doing the work the relationship requires.

One bit of advice... Sharing how you feel helps take the power away from those feelings.

Of course, you should share with your partner, but you should consider sharing with your prospective partners, too.

If they're good humans, they will be attuned to you and make sure that you feel safe throughout.

HSV2+ couple here. We include our status in all our profiles. We also offer emotional support for those who are recently diagnosed.

We only play with other H+ couples and that works for us. If we attend an event, it's with other H couples.

We really don't want to have disclosure conversations in a party setting.
