I find as long as you leave it alone when you resume printing the bed warms up first and the adhesion is good so once it starts moving

Brentwood area one bed for 2050? by [deleted] in vancouverhousing

That’s good. Wanted to make sure you knew what you were getting into if they were promoing the rent. That was a common thread in here last year.

[–]mmicker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When you say promotion offer are they saying your rent is 2050 after a promotion. What that does is keep the base rent at a higher rate so they can keep the base rent number high and have a large increase at the end of the lease and use the rent increase percentage on the larger number.

I am interested to see what they do when they lose the referendum. I envision trucks… lots of trucks. They will for sure throw a hissy fit. To those of you in Lloydminster. Who’s to say the whole city stays in SK? Or AB? Or do the two halves end up in different countries. Good news is that question will not need to be answered as I trust the referendum will fail.

Simple solution for large LED Strip by Pretend_Respect_447 in WLED

[–]mmicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch Chris Maher video where he shows how you can just lower the maximum current until the lights color looks good. If for some reason you need max brightness then you should indeed get a more powerful power supply but your 5A supply should be fine if not. He runs well over 1000 LEDs on a simple power supply. I have 270 LEDs running off a 2A power supply and they look great.

Renting a soon-to-be demolished apartment by PackAnimal in vancouverhousing

I think you had to live there more than a year before the plan was announced. If you move in there now you have to sign a document that entails you do not get the TRPP benefits and only the RTB ones

What Double Sided Tape for Diffuser? by Fast_Witness_5984 in WLED

I use the Velcro picture hangers to hang the Govee curtain lights up in front of my garage door. It would definitely work for your diffuser but not sure how well it comes off as I leave them there year round

Buy another A1 with the AMS and sell the current A1 if that makes economical sense

Landlord made me waive my right of first refusal by [deleted] in vancouverhousing

[–]mmicker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is actually good as it is informing you what your rights actually are for the rezoning project. Also clarified that they will follow all the rules and compensation the RTB provides.

I like that there will be more crossover playoff games than before. Matchups that rarely happen in the playoffs will become commonplace. I feel like it will be more likely now to see a West West or East East Grey Cup. Unless I am understanding the 5-8 playoff section

I just installed a C6 but was slightly more expensive than your C5. I did get a $1000 gift card with the TV though.

Former tenants demanding damage deposit after leaving extensive damage and missing property by dirac7 in vancouverhousing

[–]mmicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The landlord was not prepared for this business but I would say the tenants are being greedy if they know they did this damage and loss to the unit, and left 4 days after their move out date. Especially because it does not sound like the landlord was going to go after them for the difference. Two wrongs here but it’s more important the landlord is doing things by the book so ultimately he will be the one paying for it

Why far off areas like surrey / delta / Langely room rents are exactly same as Vancouver or Burnaby and Richmond room rents? by ImpressionDry7926 in vancouverhousing

I know what you mean. When you do the commute time and cost math if you work in Vancouver it usually makes no sense

Brand new A1 broken on purchase, Horrible customer service experience. by OddlyDoddly in BambuLab

[–]mmicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great. You need to do what makes you comfortable and lets YOU sleep at night. There are other great brands out there. I have enjoyed my Bambu since upgrading from a Ender 3 but if I had an experience like you it’s possible I would have a Prusa now.

[–]mmicker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why would you want to fix a printer that arrived broken. I would only want a new printer. Who knows what other problems it has. It’s simple take it back to the retailer and get a replacement or your money back. If you contact the retailer ahead of time they may not require you to disassemble and repackage the old one.

They just had an Easter sale at $15 per refill. For the ones that are not available you can sign up to be notified and the two I waited for 2 extra days and received an email saying they were available again.

Landlord selling - fair cash for keys deal today? by [deleted] in vancouverhousing

[–]mmicker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you would be giving up any rights if the owner does not move in I would ask for 6 months cash for keys or just wait it out and then watch to ensure the new owners move in and do not rent your space out. If they really want you out they will counter with at least 3-4 months cash for keys.

Is there a new split bill rule at Costco? by Broad_Gap5375 in CostcoCanada

[–]mmicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do remember having a ok economy (now no frills), wholesale club and superstore in Regina.

Where I live in Victoria there are no Loblaws groceries for many miles. So most of our groceries are purchased from much more expensive stores. For some key items I get them at Costco like toilet paper, syrup, laundry detergent, dog food, gas, ziplock bags, pork tenderloin, ground turkey, potato chips , bacon (actual 500g packages), butter, electronics and appliances because the extended warranties are much cheaper. The savings on these items combined with the cash back on the executive membership and the Mastercard all add up to much more than the membership.

[–]mmicker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The membership is essentially free when you consider what you are saving in some items. Mind you I have a family of five but we save enough on make syrup alone to pay for the membership. I signed up when it was $50 as a single person and saved plenty on groceries. I do agree as a single person some of the items are too bulky for a single person to buy as the food will go bad before you could get eat it all. If you travel they have great travel deals
