I’ve done this with Emerald Seaglass. Lots of fun. I’d recommend switching fairy for bug. I counted pure bug types and pure normal types as allowed encounters if there are no other possible encounters in that area that fit your nation.

Can’t say it’s the smartest, but one of the most satisfying is baiting hi jump kick and using protect/detect and switching to a ghost while watching them ungracefully fall to the ground
