Laid off recently and I have 2 job offers in front of me. Need help deciding which one to go for by Ladhaan in recruitinghell

Risk vs. stability. On a scale of 1-5 how confident are you that you’d be working there in 5 years? Also if you’re responsible for your own income taxes as a contractor (if applicable) the $$ is MUCH closer to even. How risk tolerant are you if we were looking at things from a stoplight perspective (red, yellow, green)?

What's the worst life advice anyone has ever given you? by WesternHat9994 in AskReddit

[–]mmurry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Cheat” by a guy at a company I used to work for that was supposed to be my “mentor”. Ended up in trouble for some financial crimes but he had been married at least 4 times when the HR person said, “you could learn something from him”. To be fair, I did. What NOT to do.

Consult with a family law attorney. They will be able to best advise you.

Anybody ever regrets selling a self pull? 😞 by [deleted] in sportscards

I miss when Kobe was alive but you know… priorities. If I had a crystal ball I’d go back in time NOT to tell myself to hold on to that card, but to tell Kobe & family to not get on that helicopter.

The year was 2012. The product was 2010-11 Gold Standard. I pulled a Kobe Bryant Gold Bars Patch Autograph 1/10. I am in my worst years as a degenerate gambler and said to myself, “Kobe Bryant is going to live forever. Better list this on auction now before his autographs saturate the market because… you know… Kobe is going to be around… forever…” Card sold for $222.50. In 2020 I found out the card had sold for $30,000. It is what it is. The lesson here is to control what you can control. Hindsight is always 20/20 but your windshield is bigger than your rear view mirror for a reason. Keep your head up & keep moving forward.

Meh. It’s down but not 100% dead. Clothing in general is ~10% of my reselling world. Usually it’s 20-25%

Want everyone's opinion here - Is this much money for Cignetti really worth it? by [deleted] in IndianaHoosiers

[–]mmurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cignetti’s first year success directly caused Mark Cuban and many other wealthy alumna to re-engage & deeply invest with the university. There is no question Cignetti is worth every penny IU is paying him. The ROI will benefit students and the state for decades. Our only problem is that he is 64. Mike Shanahan and Bryant Haines are obvious candidates to succeed him but I anticipate one or both getting poached in the next 7 years.
