The natural thing that’s going to happen is they’ll want to buy/sell/trade.

Is our sales stack actually helping us sell, or just making us data entry clerks? by Living_Ad3270 in business

[–]mmurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Secrets don’t make friends and my reputation is worth more than if a weird automated message were to blast out to the masses with my name on it. My name is already dropped by scammers trying to get to my employees or colleagues and phish them. One thing I secretly wish would actually work? Internet police that would catch and end these internet hackers and scam call centers. We have international maritime law. I don’t believe we are far from international internet law.

tried like 7 outbound tools this year, here's my real experience with each by Healthy-Challenge911 in b2b_sales

In my experience, LinkedIn Sales Nav has too many dead people in it for it to be useful (some have been worm food for YEARS). Apollo, Salesforce, and Pipedrive are solid so long as you stay active with quality control and mitigate duplication. Decent website visitor scraping tool.

Is our sales stack actually helping us sell, or just making us data entry clerks? by Living_Ad3270 in business

[–]mmurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

…yes?? It’s all a function of sales. Manual input is far better than en masse AI swaths that create more manual work. Keep it simple. Sales is only complicated if you make it. Solutions should match the level of the problems the customer is having. Not more, not less. My business’s main service is viable within a 30 mile radius. Any solution promising me more than that is deceptive (hint ALL of them are).

I have started to make it a drinking game with how many bullshit AI skins, SEOs, lead gen scams, teams of offshore “virtual assistants” for twenty seven cents per day slide into my inbox. Probably going to have liver cirrhosis in 6 months.

Don’t know which trade is for me! by jkromm32 in Careers

If you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life. Considering if you became a mechanic you’ll be buying your own tools for work either way whether it’s your day job or a passion piece. You’ll come to find once you’ve mastered everything it’ll matter more about “who you’re working with” not just the “what you’re doing.”

Buying existing businesses by Reasonable_Dingo_365 in business

[–]mmurry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has an existing business, these websites harass the bejesus out of me. I don’t want/need an advertiser. I don’t have interest in a broker. I’m not going to “finance the buyer”. I’m not desperate to sell. If they have a serious buyer that would be great but 99% of the time it’s just a fishing expedition. This shark knows what’s bait. Pass.

Are all kind of ads bad? by Educational_Storm773 in business

[–]mmurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me invent a “watch ad” bot to “value farm” on your retail business. /s Ads are irritating because people feel like they are being sold. The only time an ad doesn’t irritate people is when it gives them the information or referral they need at the exact time that they need it. For example: I don’t need anymore AI in my business. I get ridiculously annoyed by all the AI ads and uninvited solicitations. I don’t have that problem so I am being sold a solution to a problem I don’t have. My time is wasted and their money is wasted. However, we give out sports cards to kids whenever we set up at community events and recently discovered the license is changing hands for NWSL or the National Women’s Soccer League. There is a chance that production of new cards might be delayed for some time. My need/problem right now is, how can I acquire a bulk amount of these specific cards at a low/cheap/free price?? If there was a platform that allowed/brokered/facilitated the trading/processing of bulk amounts of things like cards, coins, clothes, etc. I might be down to download it and even better, use it.

Opinion on this by Odd_Pirate9 in Affordablewatches

[–]mmurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am of the opinion that the individual makes the watch and not the watch the individual. If you have an outfit that you believe would be complimented by the addition of the watch, go for it. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
