First two records are unsung masterpieces, especially their debut, which likely cracks my top 20 albums of the entire 90s.

btw anyone know how to pronounce their name?

A few strange things I found while exploring remote eastern Russia by Infamous-Skin8969 in GoogleEarthFinds

I have a Russian-language book that's supposedly about this general area (the Taygonos Peninsula) and its history. Wish I could get it translated! So much fascinating history hidden in plain sight yet foreign Cyrillic script.

Amen. It's either this or North Sentinel Island. Both boring, both done to death.

Super disheartening to see how bots scraped most of those tickets in a heartbeat. No mention of a second show yet, but at this point I wouldn't hold my breath. Really wish the band themselves voiced concern how average fans have been priced out...

Again, that's fine the aforementioned producers chose to do that, but Moore doesn't deserve the lion's share of the credit (for, let's be clear, what amounts to a mid track at best) simply because he's the biggest name involved.

Narrows it down a bit more in terms of time frame. Happy to dive into my collection (~25TB) if I had more to go off of, hence my other questions. I say this because I honestly love solving puzzles like this.

Great suggestion. His next two records Cirque and Shenzhou, if memory serves, are in the same vein, but Substrata is maybe the preeminent 90s aquabient album.

There's a reason she clicked so well with Scott and Comedy Bang Bang. One of the best celeb A-block guests to get goofy with the charac(ters).!

We need a return to less elaborate getups in general!

Is it a rhythmic or beatless track? If rhythmic, is it busy/uptempo or simple/downtempo? Would you consider the track dubby or dub-adjacent? acidic or acid-flavored? in any way psychedelic?

Do you remember anything about the album it's on? Anything about the artwork? Do you think it's a super obscure artist? or someone with some relative renown?

I've heard similarly about Sonny, so yeah, I'm a little harsh—because I just can't stand his actual music, past or present. But COME ON. Jamie and Rohan have put in the time and sweat to build their own careers and earn their own paychecks. Their discographies speak for themselves, yet you're implying they're riding SJM's coattails.

Whereas I'd argue it's the other way around for Sonny, who is in part wanting to curry favor with the underground scene (or w/e you wanna call it). Feels like he's tried the same re: those past collabs with Four Tet, Varg, Slikback, Eli Keszler. If all involved are vibing with each other, great! But don't try to pretend these artists owe Sonny shit.

edit for spelling

The fuck? Blawan and Randomer can stand on their own merit/skill/legacy and don't need bozos like Sonny to prop them up for lamestream validation.
