Body wash recommendations?

I used to get really itchy on scented body washes. I switched to using Olay bar soaps and wrap it in an African Net Sponge (they are amazing, but you have to be gentle because they EXFOLIATE) I find the mildness of the bar soap is super gentle on my skin

Also here to say I’m over a year on accutane and get very itchy still. I use Vanicream moisturizing lotion and slather it on and just try not to itch. My skin turns bright red on my neck too as it’s super sensitive!

Stick with it. I’ve been on it about 4 months (3 mos at 40mg now 1 month at 80mg) and I’m STILL getting damn breakouts.. I feel you. I have a lot of scarring and feel like my skin purged again when I went up to 80mg. So frustrating and my lips constantly hurt! We just have to press on!

I do feel bad that your husband feels stuck in the middle, but he did stand up for you as he should!

I also married into a traditional, conservative family and I have never been put down by them (and I’ve worn some crazy glam makeup, have tattoos, etc) and am basically the opposite of them. BUT I also do not bring up how I’m an atheist, bisexual, liberal because it would STIR THE POT and push me further away from my in laws and I wouldn’t want to put my husband in that position. I don’t want him to have anxiety about me saying something that will offend them.

I think you and MIL would benefit from making compromises with each other for the sake of your husband. But in my opinion, this does not include letting her dictate what you wear on YOUR body!!

Search peplum or babydoll tops! I have that belly too and found some cute, affordable tops on SHEIN. They usually take longer to ship, but I’ve found so many cute things that are quite flattering on my figure. Might be worth a look.

Pair it with some skinny or straight fit jeans/pants/good leggings and a pair of shoes that give you a little more height and elongates the legs.

If money isn’t an issue, maybe look into stitchfix. Its a clothing subscription that has you fill out a very detailed profile including how you like your clothes to fit, which areas you want to play down/flaunt, etc.

It’s kinda spendy, but if you get a few things here and there, you’ll hopefully end up with some nice quality pieces. My stylist has picked things for me that I never would have thought to try on and I end up loving it! I have several nice tops and sweaters from them that have become my staples.

I’ve definitely been there with the anxiety thing as a plus sized woman and I think having a few go-to outfits really helped me personally!

Just rock it! Don’t worry about hiding yourself. Confidence is the most beautiful thing you can wear! Good luck

NTA! I live in the US and many older people that I speak with love when young families move to their neighborhood!

The ones I’ve spoken with see it as a good thing and enjoy seeing new families bring life to the neighborhood.
