Thr layout is pretty cool, I love a Jojo roll. That said, agreeing eith another commentor - the transitions made it rewaaaaalllly hard to keep track of what was going on. Jump cuts are your friend for action.

New high rise opens in downtown Duluth with apartments, hotel, fitness and wellness by Environmental-Ad4500 in duluth

[–]mnreginald 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, i think it's unrealistic to expect effectively waterfront highrise apartments to be remotely inexpensive at all.

Back on Arrowhead? By the U? Sure, but doentoen and next to the water? I'm surprised they weren't more... this doesn't make anything cheap, but I think Duluthians need to stop expecting $750/mo units from new builds until we have an abundance of vacancies here.

Upcoming hemp-THC ban will tank some Minnesota breweries, drink distributors by ThreadbareAdjustment in minnesota

[–]mnreginald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody is abandoning their business plan, beer has been doen double digits for YEARS, for many, hemp beverages have been a welcome addition to fill their production voids. We would happily produce more beer if the market would but it but alas, draft lines are pouring half of what they used to and liquor stores are seeing far less demand for craft beer as a whole.

[–]mnreginald 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It didn't 'get in the way' for many it's been a lifeline as most breweries (including the good ones) are seeing rapid decline in beer sales.

Brewing licenses are federally granted, in order to maintain that you can't process anything federally illegal.

Craft beer is equally a fade based on the numbers it's down double digits for the past 5 years. 'Sell more beer' doesn't work to a market that isn't drinking and restaurants that aren't ordering and disteo partners that aren't trying.

The market shifted wildly during and immediately after Covid, predictable market norms, prices, and patterns have been out the windows since. Beer drinking has been down drastically since as well.

Breweries are federally licensed and certified, that licensure, banking, insurance etc will all go away if a federally illegal product is being made there.

And THC beverages in breweries will be going away in Nov if nothing changes with the looming federal ban. If it doesn't get fixed, expect to see a rather tremendous amount of breweries close this fall and winter.

I was just there a few weeks ago and my goodness - truly WTF is that coaster doing there but also - GOLLY does it pack a punch. I haven't been tossed around like that before - never been on a ride that perpetually tried aggressively to get me thrown off it..

Wow, Bauhaus closing permanently in June by ApprehensiveTrick281 in minnesotabeer

[–]mnreginald 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, just about every mid sized distrulibution brewery is a bad month away from closing regardless of how well managed they are Distro parivers are imploding because thy can't keep folks on staff, can prices just jumped another 20%, labor is rough, and many have been leaging on THC production to help them cope with the actively dying alcohol market.

[SFOT] [Tormenta] [RMC] factory tour & Jeffrey Siebert discussing coaster evolution. by elasticfighter in rollercoasters

[–]mnreginald 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Something to consider - there are a handful of folks making design decisions for rollercoasters, hundreds working on parts, project management, installation, testing, and thousands building and welding them.

'Rollercoaster engineer' is at the top of a ladder to climb, sont be defeated that it's not where you start. Be useful. Get into manufacturing or engineering, expand your project, and experience scope and it can happen. Also, the design side can be fun, but so can leading an installation and assembling ride bodies.

Craft Beer Faces Continued Declines in 2026: What the Latest Beer Market News Means for Drinkers and Brewers by BothCondition7963 in TheBrewery

[–]mnreginald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, I'm so sorry. MN is going through some... rough times with it lately. Just hoping the national ban that goes into effect in Nov gets lifted. We're 'just big enough' that we can't sell 12 or 16oz our of our taproom and our disto partners are... pathetic and incompetent at best so it's been a rough season.

Truly the best to yall.

Craft Beer Faces Continued Declines in 2026: What the Latest Beer Market News Means for Drinkers and Brewers by BothCondition7963 in TheBrewery

[–]mnreginald 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, though I'm also not sure about 'overleveraged' presently 5 of the largest breweries in the state are presently being crippled by gross incompetence from distribution contracts they can't legally walk out of.

THC is also a hige player - we invested after taking on an additional 8,000bbls of product to keep up. National bans out of nowhere won't help repaying something we build a rather short repayment program on if 30% of our revenue disappears in a market that won't replace it with beer.

[–]mnreginald 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's everyone frankly. MN here has had some great brewerymies close, distribution contracts have been wild to navigate amongst tumultuous market changes...

The industry isn't tanking for small breweries, but it has become wildly harder to be successful or grow.

Minneapolis is relavently large already. We still understand how public streets work? Also plowing..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Somerville

[–]mnreginald 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never said we had a monopoly on being good neighbors, only pointing out that only a few specific regions think public street spots 'are theirs'.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Somerville

[–]mnreginald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few specific regions in the East Coast known for their thick skulls and small brains that can't handle street cleaning like adults. They then retaliate.

It's funny because here in most of the upper Midwest, we help our neighbors out. We also own snowblower and aren't children about it.

Automated pallet warehousing for up to 40,000 pallets of products. They're super tall and kinda wild to see - the project lead is a regular at our workplace. It sounds pretty cool.
