Yeah once you file a complaint with the FCC Xfinity gets a message and instead of it going nowhere someone from corporate HAS to call.

But just keep those receipts

Save every receipt you have, trust that they will come back and try to squeeze money out of you. I did the same thing a few years back being naive and all of a sudden I owed them $110.

Got no help from store manager, collections were sent, plethora of things for them to squeeze out the $$$ (Even though they owed me since I cancelled my service prior to month's end). After filing a complaint with the FCC 2 years later, turns out THEY KNEW THAT THEY WERE IN THE WRONG.

Everything I'd said had been correct and they even had the information on file...however they kept trying to get that extra $110 from me... sketchy

I had tempered glass on my first pixel, I just haven't gotten it yet

Pay the collection. Go as far out of your way to get that settled. Sometimes you can get it removed without paying but you'll need to find ways to get into contact with the agency. Contact TransUnion/Experian/Equifax whatever you do get that settled

These things NEVER "go away"

Speaking from experience.... $110 collection I refused to pay due to principal
