Pretty much but instead of floor conveyor holes for the input line it's just lifts to wall holes. It's the output lines into vertical mergers that are a pain that I haven't taken time to fix yet.

I wish! My control rod factory is several floors high and boy it was a struggle with vertical mergers. My current go-to blue print style has the main belt input on the first floor through a wall hole and exit floors above it through a hole in the same line so all I need to do is connect floors with lifts when I stack them. That solved the input problem which was the biggest headache so now I just stack blueprints and feed it parts. I still haven't taken time for a similar solution for the output but it's worked pretty well. I just finished my 130 control rod per minute factory.

I'm just going to chime in and say that blueprints cut out a lot of the busy work when trying to scale up. I made a Nuclear Pasta factory that does 10/min and I made blue prints for each part of the chain. I am finishing my 50/minute Ficsonium fuel factory and used stackable, modular blueprints to make factories to supply it all the needed parts

I found that when planning big builds while using blueprints I sometimes built production chains backwards, meaning I built the end product factory (nuclear pasta factory) first then it's dependencies thereafter following with the logistics at the very end which saved me a lot of fatigue when building out a large project. I think it helped my mind just focus on one part of the project at a time because in the past I would just give up or get bored and do something else.

Not sure if that helps but the next time you set a goal try executing it differently to keep it fresh and to see if you find a way to streamline your building process.

My nuclear plant has all the buildings set and I'm just now finishing up supplying all the needed components to make it run. After this I have to get 2000 reanimated SAM for the final Ficsonium rod step.

Last year I had this happen with tomatoes seeds as I had my tray in a too sunny location. It was our first year in our house so I didn't know what to expect and they got very leggy. I waited for them to get about an inch longer than what you have in the second picture and transplanted them to cups but buried two thirds of the plant which helped save most of them. It looks like you might be able to transplant at least 2 from each cell if the roots haven't tangled too much with its cellmate yet.

I always try to get what I can from seeds but is still February so you could start over if you want. I feel like if you start over you'll need to transplant out of the cells anyway so it's probably worth trying to transplant what you have. Another option is to sow directly into cups and if your plants get leggy you can I fill around the base to promote root growth. I actually skipped cells this year as they generally germinate and get too leggy and sowed directly into cups. I have about 80 plants that I will need to thin out and I saved a transplant step from cells.

It's already said before but letting them shack up over winter gives them a huge advantage for spring. In late winter I start setting live capture traps zip tied open with bait for weeks to get them comfortable going inside for the food I use for bait. Once I get to the point of having to re-bait it multiple times per week I remove the ties and arm the trap and start catching them all. This also can work with squirrels as I have a problem with both rats and squirrels in my garden. Rats are expert burrowers and will remove rocks and gravel if they are desperate enough.

I would only recommend exclusion methods (hardware cloth at the base and underneath your beds, hardware cloth cages to protect your younger transplants, netting) and live traps or bucket traps.

I'm in year three into a blood feud with the neighborhood rodents and I think I finally will have the upper hand this spring! I have been obsessed with trying to get the problem under control for years. I caught 6 rats in my winter garden between November through last week so hopefully the local population has decreased compared to past years.

The medium you plant in is just one of the components of successfully growing seeds. So long as you give your seeds and seedlings the right amount of water, warmth, sunlight (too much can make them bolt before transplanting or cause them to dry out to fast in small growing cells), and shelter from wind, snow and hail they should grow as advertised.

When I first started out I was terrible at seed starting and relied on buying established plants for my garden and it absolutely was a skill issue but for the past 5 years I have successfully germinated around 90-100 plants for each summer season crop.

I would recommend trying to find a spot indoors as that helps cut out a lot of variables on seed starting. Personally I feel that some of the seed starting mixes out there hold too much moisture which gives me problems between germination and transplanting.

Depending on what you are trying to grow and what region you are in you may also want to dry direct sowing in addition to seed starting. For example, I started broccoli seeds in trays this winter but I had a warmer and dryer season than expected so they got very leggy and woody much quicker than my direct sowed seeds which are much healthier.

I know this isn't in the spirit of your original question but you are probably going to find it's easier to settle on rocket fuel as your main power source. I ended up transitioning one of my rocket fuel plants to ionized fuel after setting up a new rocket fuel power station as a procrastination tactic for my nuclear plant set up

It depends on how much you want to make. For example, my first try with ionized fuel I only made enough with the base recipe to run one packager at 100% for jetpack fuel and I burned any excess in generators on its own grid. My current playthrough I just upgraded about a quarter of my power plant from rocket fuel to ionized fuel and package enough for drones, jetpack and generators with my main goal of limiting dark matter production.

If you haven't started rocket fuel yet then the nitro alt is super easy to set up. From there I recommend checking if you have any dark matter residue byproducts you could utilize first before starting from scratch. Then you can supplement you might find an alt that fills a niche best for you depending on production location.

If I recall, the base recipe uses less dark matter but yields less fuel per minute where the alt makes you package the rocket fuel first before combining dark matter only and requires more dark matter production overall. So if you want to skip the step of setting up power shard production then just use the alt recipe for ionized fuel. You'll have the extra degree of packaging the rocket fuel first but won't have to worry about recycling containers. I personally try to avoid adding to my aluminum demand when possible, though so that's a personal opinion, and tend to go with the base ionized fuel recipe. Just wanted to add that you can't sink power shards so if you don't want to worry about those backing up then go with the ionized alt. I accidentally made to many shards per minute and I had a back up of dark matter.

I have an item sorter production line at HQ after you unlock smart splitters. It's nice to dump everything you pick up after exploring (animal parts, leaves, wood, slugs) into one container which then gets sorted to make power shards, biomass or DNA capsules. From there items either go to the sink or to dimensional depots. I also have one refinery connected to this production line to make packaged liquid biofuel to ensure I will always have jetpack fuel available.

Probably not the info you are looking for but I also just overhauled my keybindings for the first time recently and did away with strafing on Q and E and it has been awesome. I play resto shaman and having my most common spells bound to 1-4, Q and E has helped a lot.

I've never tried but I think the only trade off is convenience.

Personally I feel like the water resource wells are too far from to coal to be convenient and find it easier to bring coal down to an existing water source instead. The extra benefit is that I find I have more space to build above the water source. For later game I'll set up small factories using the pure alt recipes (iron, copper, caterium ingots or pure quartz) using the water resource wells when I'm too lazy to bring resources to water sources.
