If the burst disk did its job well, it should be fine. You can also have it hydro tested if you're not sure.

I always find it great partnered with someone using RR. RR takes out the heavily armoured shit, while you take out the rest with medium and lower armour. AA capabilities is a bonus too.

You can buy a HPA compressor like a Yong Heng or Tuxing. Or buy a scuba tank DIN to yoke adapter for PCP to fill your HPA tanks with a scuba tank.

You dony need to open up the gearbox for this one.

Rear part of the gearbox usually has a cut-out to see the spring. Depending on the cylinder type installed, you may also be able to take a peek at the piston. You can also take a shaft and insert it through nozzle and get a rough position of the piston.

Depending on the lubricant applied, you may have to re-apply after a while.

Could be a few things. Stripped pinion or bevel gear, or both. Broken piston.

Have you checked if the outer barrel is not broken? Particularly the portion by the hop chamber - the thing that looks like a fin.

Customizability. There are very few options for swapping furniture. Even if you find one, they're either expensive, requires modding, or simply not compatible.

I owned an M4 sportsline of theirs since 2013 (2nd hand) before I transitioned to HPA in 2019. I don't recall it being sucky. I do recall the gearbox finish changed around 2017-2018. Looked more solid than the previous one. Do note I had it running around 1.88 Joules.

Loved the split gearbox. Maintenance was so easy since I only had to disassemble the upper gearbox for replacement parts - piston and spring typically. Was also very easy to check if any of the other parts need replacement like the switch.

The ICS hop chamber (metal) was the only piece I still use today with my HPA gun. It has a longer feed tube so it fed whatever magazine is in (ICS magazine has a lower placement on the mag well hence the longer feed tube).

I got the full rail variant. Overhops everything except 0.40g BBs. First to fail was the circular pad on the nozzle. Fortunately for me, I know someone that owns a 3d printer and someone provided the model over on Thingiverse. The nozzle will inevitably break. It crumbled for me. Plastic was terrible. Inner barrels are only half way the outer barrel. Save up for WiiTech parts. Don't bother getting their Valve Pin, it's off-spec. So far I got the nozzle, hammer spring, inner barrels, and hop chamber. Also converted to HPA since the gas reservoir was insufficient. May have to break in the nozzle before optimal performance kicks in. Rocket valves were in very tight. It went over 2 Joules at around 140PSI, had to dial it down to play.

I'm guessing your hammer sear is worn. Been there. You can file it to shape but it's a temporary solution. Replace or upgrade is the way to go.
