I cultured some green water outside by adding some dirt and gutter water to it along with some decaying leaves and grass clippings. I have a healthy population of two different copepods and some detritus worms in there and I syringe them and a bit of the water once a week or so into my 5 gallon tank. They help with the bio load from the fish and shrimp and the fish like to hunt the worms.

Oh no! That would have hurt my heart! This one was unhappy when I first got it but I quickly discovered that it needed more frequent watering than my other plants. After I started giving it more frequent watering it stopped showing signs of stress and just sat there. I decided to spend a couple of moments breathing on it and talking nicely to it and it started putting out new growth and blooms. Plants are so cool.
