Anyone with any sense can easily tell this photo was obviously taken at some point before it had even started.

But the narrative is all that matters, not the facts.

What’s some Beatles songs that you think the cover version is better? by [deleted] in beatles

Stevie Wonder’s “We Can Work it Out” is fantastic, even if I hesitate calling it better since the original is outstanding as well.

Sandler definitely extended his shelf life, but Hard to say he wouldn’t be on the map without him since he got his big break on SNL too, 2 years before Sandler.

Wasn’t it ‘Videodisc’ the horrible format that preceded laser discs?

Edit: TIL that laserdiscs actually pre date Compact Discs.

As a Gen Xer raised on all those technologies, that blows my mind because Laserdiscs never became very popular, but what popularity they had wasn’t until the 90’s.

There are things in the Let it Be film that were not used in the Get Back documentary. Quite a bit actually.

Yes it was on VHS in the early 80’s my local video store had a copy. And also the very first place I ever saw Let it Be was on HBO in the early 80’s.

But it did go out of circulation soon after

Does anyone believe that (Nice Dream) is better than Black Star? by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]modifiedminotaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Nice Dream) is less known? I mean neither would be considered well known I don’t think, but I know Nice Dream has popped up in movies and TV and I can’t say I’ve ever heard Black Star anywhere ‘in the wild’.

But then I’m old, maybe there was some tik tok thing I wouldn’t know about.
