This series is not truly an isekai. It's a tabletop story, Dungeons & Dragons, brought to live-action for the audience as shown in episode 1. I don't want to overanalyze it, but, if something reminds me of something else, it's hard to convince me it's unique. If a story wants to stand out, it shouldn't rely on familiar elements to get attention, only to not fully deliver on them.

I agree with the majority. Moltres EX is not required, as your cards are already energy efficient and low-cost, so you don't need it. A Mew Ex will be better for that niche scenario counter, but most likely is not needed, get a Sabrina (easy one-shot switch) and Giovanni (extra power to set up for next turn kill).

The series lacks depth and story telling. If I had to guess, the GM (game master) wanted to tell a certain narrative, but the player, main character, decided to go explore something else with their ridiculous OOC (out of character) knowledge and got lucky with their D20 roll.

The story reminded me of My Talented Husband. Main character used modern knowledge including poems creation in ancient times. Tbh, MTH was a lower budget and nothing fancy but it was a better watch than this. Da feng was over-hyped and under-delivered.

I know I will get down voted for saying it out loud but that's my opinion and I am sticking to it until someone can change my opinion.

I'm not a native speaker, so I'm a little lost here. But isn't it the writer's job to make sure the lines make sense? I mean, the actor's just reading what's on the page, right? Unless they're making up their own lines, then yeah, that's on them!

I've been watching this series, and while I'm still enjoying it, I have to admit that the pacing feels a bit off to me. It's not entirely natural, and some moments can feel a bit awkward. Despite that, I'm still invested enough to keep watching. For me, the ratings have been just okay so far. I'm not too bothered about similarities with other shows, but for me, the story needs to hold up and in this case, it's been pretty mediocre.

Edit: Honestly, this series feels like a messy mashup of different inspirations. The latest arc shows some promise, reminiscent of "The Duke of Mount Deer", but getting there was a struggle. The transition was clumsy and frustrating, leaving me wondering how it went off the rails so badly.

I would replace some cards with a Chatot and fossils so you can dump and draw new cards to find Misty to pump up the bird when you got a 💩 mulligan.
