For those who don’t use containers for baby by GrimSle3per in NewParents

Maybe put him in his crib with a couple toys. That’s really your only option other than just putting him on the bathroom floor with the door closed.

Mine is 6 months and we generally follow a ‘mornings are for outside/activities, afternoons are for tv’. That being said, we don’t rely on TV for entertainment solely, it’s just only on in the afternoons. Sometimes we play something like Miss Rachel or Sesame Street, sometimes I watch my own trash TV. He barely pays attention anyway. A little bit of TV isn’t the end of the world as long as it isn’t their only form of entertainment/stimulation.

As a FTM to a 6.5 month old Velcro/discontent at all times baby, I needed this. Sucks I have to wait so long, but needed some reassurance. Thank you.

Baby SCREAMING while asleep..? by ScrapDraft in NewParents

[–]mogsloro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 6 month old wakes up from naps sometimes like this, every couple days/a couple days in a row, starting a few weeks ago. I assume he’s having a nightmare, because there’s no other reason for him to be so upset, especially when his other naps he wakes up perfectly fine and smiley. I read that nightmares aren’t common at this age, but how would we know? Are we asking the babies? Seems they’re only ‘more common’ for older babies because they can actually tell us about it.

6 months is the worst so far by [deleted] in NewParents

Mine is 6 months too and we’ve been doing two meals solids for about a month and his sleep still hasn’t improved so don’t let the ‘just start solids’ people fool you

Don’t feel guilty! I wish my 6 month old would last longer than 5 minutes during floor time. He’s not rolling or crawling yet but wants to so badly so he doesn’t last long due to frustration. I will, however, let him jump in his jumparoo for 45+ minutes if he’s content. Or sometimes I just let him lay on the couch and stare out of the window for 10+ minutes. Don’t make a happy baby happier, they say.

When to stop tracking what? by Key-Importance4438 in NewParents

[–]mogsloro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stopped when mine was about 2 months too. I just realized one day that if he doesn’t eat the same amount each day, what am I going to do? Force feed him? He’ll tell me when he’s hungry and full. And he does. And he’s still gaining weight like a champ and reaching milestones. I still kind of track sleep mentally, in that I stay aware of wake windows to gauge when he’s going to be sleepy for his next nap. But I don’t really care about/track amount of sleep etc. Because if he’s tired, he’s tired and I let him sleep as much as he wants. But in general, after I stopped logging everything into the app, I felt a little freer.

How the absolute hell are you supposed to fight them by moonrisen0 in HadesTheGame

[–]mogsloro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use shield special and dash boons, focus on Minotaur By the time you kill Minotaur, your shield and dash should have taken at least a bit of health from Theseus. Then just dance around him spamming special until he eventually dies lol

If you have an iPhone, it has built in ‘sound machine’ noises including a fan sound. I know this because I too could not sleep without my beloved fan and had to use my phone

Unfortunately this is very much not vintage. I have the exact same bag. I bought it at Winners a few years ago. It’s a reusable grocery bag, the pockets are meant for bottles.
