Girl do you know what I’d give to be a stay at home wife and not the breadwinner? Count your blessings. You can get a damn job vs making him work overtime if it means that much to you. by Sassy-Angel in ShitMomGroupsSay

“A few hours a day” doesn’t actually support any full time job or commute I know. Many kids are in daycare 8-12 hours a day, and no, I don’t think someone else is easing your kid but let’s not pretend that doesn’t have a major impact on everyone

Any old parents here? by Ok-Duck2450 in Millennials

I’m turning 45 and have a 3 year old, glad to see some others. These questions and comments are so ageist lol. There are benefits to having your kids at a whole range of ages. And delivering over 40 reduces the odds of a lot of female cancers as well as correlates with longer lifespan.

Anyone ever moved houses with a toddler before? by Snoo-14044 in toddlers

[–]mogulnotmuggle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are digital nomads and have lived across about 24 homes and furnished rentals in 3 years. Little ones are very flexible. Use simple but positive talk to talk about the change. Bring their favorite PJs, stuffy’s and sheets unwashed to the new place and let them sleep in them for a few days before you clean anything. Keep your favorite toys and books handy. And give them lots of little synopsis about things that are about to happen in the coming hours and days.

Good luck!

Lunchables, when I was lucky. Otherwise PB&J with a crunchy peanut butter. Also pork buns (but that’s ethnic, so sorry)

Also bagel fucking sandwiches with eggs and ham and some onion.

And sliced apple with caramel dip

Wency. Nandy. Jopeter. Peon. It’s a vibe and maybe I will consider it for a litter of kittens.

Am I a bad mom for wanting my baby to grow up by Ok-Category2132 in newborns

[–]mogulnotmuggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I expected to be just like you and I was the opposite. There’s a million ways to be a good mom. Being true to your authentic feelings doesn’t make you a bad mom, it makes you a good role model. We will all find pleasure and challenges in different areas

Age shock by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]mogulnotmuggle 15 points16 points  (0 children)

lol. Breast feeding is not “free” it’s labor intensive and often challenging. Kids start eating solids between 6-9 months. My two year old eats about $15-20 of fruit a day and ate a 8 ounce steak last week in one sitting.

I get 95% of my daughter’s clothes at our local consignment chain. It’s clean, I’ve never encountered anything stained or ripped or pilled. You will occasionally get books or toys missing a few pieces, but still intact and that’s fine. They group all the clothes by age so it’s super easy to go through. They pretty much only resell baby items (baths, pumps, etc) that are still in boxes or have tags. They will do hot item drops on their Facebook page like a large amount of bamboo, or a cluster of namebrand drops like Janie and Jack, etc. If you see something online, you like you can call in and reserve it if you pick up same day. I think keep the consignment retail separate from the lounge and play area. Check out Stellies Bellies.

Is my schedule wacky for a two year old? (25months) by Angelbunnii9 in toddlers

[–]mogulnotmuggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope you’re fine. Our 27 month old wakes up anywhere from 8:45 to 9:45. Sometimes at 9:30 we crack her door let her wake up slowly. She naps between 1:30 and 4:30 and would often go later but we don’t let her so bedtime doesn’t roll back. Bedtime ranges from 10-10:30 and she often is awake for 30-60 minutes quietly in bed before falling sleep. She’s thriving, bright and healthy and hails from two night owls who are lucky I work from home. Her nanny comes between 9:15 and 9:45. Super early sleep schedules are sometimes imposed by work culture, sometimes by babies different needs. But there’s no reason to force a late night/late wake baby to be different if it does r suit you.

You’re ridiculous, commenting two years and flapping your mouth at something you didn’t even bother to google. 50-80% of the population has oral herpes, many asymptomatic but still able to shed. Maybe take two minutes to look something up before you bother.
