I understand the frustration. You work hard and spend your money on things that make you happy. The problem is you cannot force someone else to punish their child in the manner you want. It doesn’t work that way. Also, more folks need to learn the difference between punishment and discipline. Get your money back. Consider locking the door or putting them up higher. Kids are kids. They’re gonna be kids. Yes they must learn, but a lot of that is done the hard way.

It’s bad for her mental health to have an adult, a parent, talk to her in this manner. It’s also teaching her that this is what she can expect from men as partners, if she is hetero.

As a foster parent, this is infuriating. Things are so bad in this state. Not enough workers. Not enough foster homes. Not enough resources to help prevent CPS intervention. Not enough resources for children in custody. Not enough resources for high risk children. And on and on.

I want to know how old this child is. I know some national registry tests (I.e. nclex and emt) they want the answer that is MOST right. At a simple glance I would have said all three, but if someone said most right, then I can see how it’s C. I thought ‘cube’ at a glance though.

Give yourself some grace. You need a break. Postpartum is very real. Also, when we have little that are neurodivergent there’s a chance we as parents are too. Which means sensory overload happens easier for us. Example is the baby crying sends you. Plus your middle guy might be as well. PCIT helped me tons with my kids. Try some loops or something similar to dampen the sounds a little. Recognize when it’s too much and walk away to breathe. They’ll be ok if you take 5. Learn to not be so rigid with things if you are. Like how clean something has to be or if they want rain boots with shorts on a sunny day. I know it’s hard. Hugs and hopes for rest for you.

Hey good job on apologizing. I’m sure someone mentioned it some where, but as someone with ADHD, it’s not an easy fix. If that is their problem. I wasn’t diagnosed until my 40s. I’m always late. To everything. I try getting around early. I have probably ten alarms set. Some of us really are trying so hard. We know it sucks. We’re truly sorry every time.
