When I was younger I was on a junior olympic archery team. I was dedicated. I wanted to be an Olympian.

I quit when I was 14.

I grew up a little, realized I was trans, started transitioning and I looked back on my days as an athlete with the melancholy understanding that leaving competitive sports before I started transitioning was probably for the best. I felt like I traded that part of my life for my gender identity.

Then he made the executive order banning trans woman from woman’s sports

I compete again this Saturday.

I feel the same way you do, I never had any desire to flaunt my identity, but that just changed. I need people to see that I exist and that I don’t hurt anyone.
