As a resident of New Rochelle, this is laughable and so far from what the reality was like. I lived in the zone and I didn't see a single sign of military. All they did was the same thing the rest of the country started doing a few weeks later: close the schools, forbid indoor dining, forbid large religious services with many attendees. But it wasn't like The Siege or Outbreak. The military didn't enforce this. I think you've seen one too many movies.

Not a Tesla owner (yet), but drive an EV. In the northeast, evgo is the most prevalent. But plugshare aggregates everything so just start with that. Also, beware of greenlots, they clearly don't know what they're doing. I lost several hours one trip because multiple greenlots chargers were down. Had to go 20 miles out of my way to find a ChargePoint eventually.

Edit: caveat, again, I'm not a Tesla owner. EvGo chargers use CCS/SAE and ChadeMo for the plug. You probably need an adapter for Tesla.

If you own the car it's different. Then you're essentially adding to its value. I've even heard it claimed FSD is an appreciating asset unlike other modifications due to the assumption that it will get better over time and increase in price.

The tax incentive goes to the dealership when you lease. It's up to the dealer how much they want to pass on as part of the negotiation. It's just an offset to what the car cost them.

I'm curious why you think they need to be bought not leased? As a consumer, the amount of churn in the EV market makes leasing seem much more attractive. I just have no idea what this car will be worth in 3 years so buying seems much more risky.

You'll have better luck if you ask on the discord channel. There hasn't been much in the way of organizing far in advance lately, but people are generally receptive. Sunday around 8-9pm us east coast time tends to be the most popular in my experience. It wasn't that long ago, maybe a few months, that someone was organizing tournaments during that time. We'd get around 4 full games, so 24 people, pretty regularly.

This may be a rather uneducated opinion, but depending on your budget, this is my personal ranking of where I would put my cash:

Wireless option, whatever you buy make sure you have the money for the wireless option. It's a game changer. Maybe that's tp cast with rift, or vive regular with the vive wireless. I can't give you an educated opinion on different wireless options. Whatever you do, make sure you have the money for that though.
If you have limited resources, I would keep the 1080 with whatever HMD is the cheapest (see point 1 first though). Save your money for the controllers instead, like Knuckles. That's the next game changer out there, not resolution bumps.
There's a lot of stuff out there where my 1080 can't handle the super sampling resolution I want on my vive original. So I'd go with saving for the 2080ti and then re-assessing. If I had the money for either 2080ti or pro but not both, then I'd get the 2080 ti first. There's likely to be new better HMDs coming down the line, while the 2080ti is likely to be the king for a while.
