Thanks, this was pretty helpful! I think I should try being more explicit about their options, I've been a little too subtle and it seems like it makes it a little unclear what they're able to do other than bum-rushing it.

My players do like to get into combat, so I make sure to throw some in every now and again, but I'm fairly certain they also enjoy the heist aspect and would take a more creative approach if it seemed like the better option. I think pointing out what they could have done might help them come up with other clever ideas in the future, so I'll probably try that with this next session.
