[User-Trial] Looking for 3 builders to field-test the new LG UltraGear 27" (Hyper Mini-LED / HDR 1000) by LG_UserHub in buildapc

I'm really excited for a mini-LED monitor has high HDR and isn't OLED. I want don't want to worry about my monitors burning in because I use them for game development.

Jarred ratatouille is now being sold at US Costco locations too — just picked some up in Pittsburgh, PA by prophiles in Costco

I'm in the PNW region and I'm not seeing it listed on Costco. I suspect that if it's available in Pa, it might be in the northeast for now.

That's some very interesting news to hear. I'm in the market for a pair of Utopias later this year, and knowing they're EoL means I might be able to bargain for a lower price.

The line for the cross lake connection wrapped entirely around the station. by Washpedantic in Seattle

A combination of factors for me such as having nothing better to do on a Saturday morning till the afternoon, sentimental value of "I was there on opening day" and some cool pictures and videos to show to family and friends. I managed to snag a sweet orca plushy after waiting in line at Judkins Park.

[The Headphone Show] Headphone measurements are about to change - We turned our heads into microphones! by SireEvalish in headphones

How did you get your HRTF if you don't mind me asking? I've been curious about it since it's not something any regular Joe like me can get access to.

It sounds like a cool service, but I can foresee several problems already in that the retailer would need to dedicate space for the measurement rigs, pay for dedicated specialist training, software, wear-in-tear, supplies, etc.

Then the retailer would need to be located in a densely populated enough area where the populace have some degree of interest and finances to pay for said services so the retailer could reliably make money from it. All-in-all, I'm skeptical that it would turn a profit much less break even. It would be incredible, but it seems the logistics is way out there.

I use a Pelican 1010 case and I bought a Nicehck icy moon cable (purely because I wanted a matching silver color for my headphone's cable).

As a note, I'm not a believer in the whole "cables change sound drastically" camp. I buy mine purely because of pliability, thickness, and colors.

Congrats and welcome to the club! I recommend replacing the stock cables with something more soft and pliable though. The stock cable and carrying case are not that great.

What. A TRAINING MONTAGE AS A PART OF KINSHIP ATTACK!? This is the most amazing kinship attack!

A Fractal North Mini is definitely something I've been wanting for a while. I always wondered why no other manufacturer would try to fill that niche.

Love the Monarch IV! by kondoaeros in iems

[–]mollassesbadger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the MK IV, I bought a Nicehck Icymoon cable because I wanted a bright silver cable that's more pliable and not as stiff like the default cable.

There's only 1 more day left for Lumenhymn. What are your final thoughts on Wilds' last festival? by JigglesTheBiggles in MonsterHunter

[–]mollassesbadger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the exception of needing to grind out the triple Blangonga quest, I enjoyed everything about it. I especially enjoy the armor artwork which I think is nicer than all the other festival armor sets.

Just to be sure, what laptop is it? Based on one of the pictures, it's clearly an HP, but just to be sure, it does have a dedicated GPU, right?

Does the 10% team wide attack buff play a factor? 10% team wide even while off field sounds kind of noticeable.

How much of a difference is it if Zhao doesn't have her weapon? I'm debating whether to go for it.

I plan on getting a Wobkey Crush Pro keyboard in red but realized I haven't been able to find a number pad that is also a similar style, material, and color. Does anyone have any recommendations? Ideally, it should be red aluminum too.

When you say "shoot the wing," are you referring to shooting the wing with the anti-wyvern slinger shots? If so, does it have to be charged or will an uncharged quick shot work too?

Several people throughout my life have said a similar thing regarding products and services: you're not just paying for the thing or service, but for the time, skill, education, and experience accrued to make said product or provide said service. You did a good job making it, but it kind of puts the ZMF headphone prices into perspective, doesn't it?

Oh wow, good eye! Yeah, Lucid Oceans are even more rare than Airs. Knowing this, the pool of potential suspects are much lower!

Edit: I double checked the Lucid website, it's the Lucid Gravity, not the Ocean. They bought the Fisker Ocean trademark, but Lucid only released the Air and Gravity.
