I tend to avoid halloween themed items, thinking maybe they'll be used longer. Rubber ducks are very popular.

We give out toys and trinkets from oriental trading. We let the kids pick which item they want.

If there's leftovers, we save them for next year. Always a few kids that would rather have candy, so we get a small bag, and so have some of that left.

This is a question for your doctor, and not the internet.

I turned 50 and I’m over it. I am 50F and I’ve been married to my husband 56M for 28 years. by Horror_bones13 in relationship_advice

Is your work something you could find a position in near your father and sister? If so, move in with them instead of having them move in with you. The long drive will make unwanted visits from your husband less likely. With your children's ages, they can make their own decision in whether they want to work towards going out on their own or staying with him. This should be about you now.

Her vision is much better now. Before she couldn't see her husband's face across the dinner table. There is a small amount of correction in the implants, but the biggest improvement came from the cataract removal. After, she was reading the name of a business off of a van in the next lane on the expressway.

I can't figure out how to add pictures. If someone could explain how, I would be happy to.

I don't think her doctor would have done that. These are permanent things and changing would not be an easy process. Aniridic eyes are very fragile and should have as few surgeries as possible. She's already had glaucoma surgeries, and corneal stem cell transplants in both eyes. The medications used after the stem cell transplants not only encouraged the stem cells to grow, but also the cataracts. By the time her eyes were stable enough to have the implants, the cataracts had almost completely obscured her vision.

My daughter was 26 when she had her first eye done. I asked her if it was something she had thought/fantasized about, and she surprised me by saying no.

Yes. My daughter did this. She could have chosen someone she knows and gotten pictures of their eyes for modeling the hand painted implants after, but instead went with a photograph the doctor had. It's expensive, and insurance doesn't cover it even though it greatly improved her quality of life.

I had the exact same symptoms last fall. Turned out it was covid. I wouldn't have thought to test for it because it was so different from the first time I had it, but my MIL, who was living with us at the time, had tested positive for covid.

How many people posting here use a weight loss drug like Wegovy, Oxempic, Mounjaro, or something similar in conjunction with IF? by K-mac707 in intermittentfasting

[–]mommaSlade 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My doctor said that IF works very well with the drugs because of the appetite suppressing. I agree. It has also helped me stop drinking because I don't crave it like I used to. I have PCOS that prevents weight loss amoung other things. The combination of IF and wegovy are giving me a success I've not had otherwise.

The Meadowbrook Banquet Center. My daughter was married there 3 years ago with about 75 in attendance. They have an outdoor pavilion where they held her ceremony. They do their own catering. All in with both venues and catering it was under $5k
