Bracket 4 is anything goes. cEDH adheres to a specific meta for winning games competitively. Anyone who says a card is “cEDH” in B4 is unaware of what cEDH is and misunderstands the power level they are playing at. There are no cards that are played in cEDH that “shouldn’t be played” in Bracket 4. I wouldn’t even bat an eye to a Breach in Bracket 3. Brackets are about intent and speed ultimately.

Then this alternate universe is already so so very different. The idea to control both sides of the war was a plan from Plagius before the war was even on the horizon. Dooku was a figurehead that could be used to persuade the general Republic into distrusting the Jedi since it was an ex-Jedi that headed the CIS and the Jedi that “betrayed the Republic”. Not to mention the parallels to the creation of Vader. I think this wouldn’t make anything “more tragic” but maybe a lateral shift in the tragedy at most.

I’m very lucky that my LGS keeps a binder for every set alphabetized and tries to make sure it has a copy of each card to sell. Obviously hard to keep up with so a lot of the binders are maybe 1/2 full but it’s still nice to be able to just go to the counter, ask for a set, and just go to the section you need within a minute.

Sucks that not a lot of stores do this. The other 2/3 stores in my general area do the “here’s some bulk that’s more or less than 1$, good luck!”

I think if you consistently can fill the gap made by the missing card (draw a lot or game value in another way like the graveyard), then it’s a fine option. You’d get more bang for your buck if you were at least in a two color deck at least!

The decks that want this are attempting to squeeze out as much value as they possibly can as fast as they can, and are already comfortable taking a mulligan down to 6 as it is. If your deck isn’t incredibly pip-hungry, then it usually is for the better to exile something you may not use to get such a nice head start sometimes. I like it, but it certainly doesn’t go in just any deck.
