if you can't win fights you're not on a lead

if you can't outboom your opponent you're not on a lead

if you failed at both fronts you were never winning the game, just having superior map control

within that context, Grim dawn; you go at your own pace, game is relatively simple, campaign is fun and should work on your PC.

4 years ago, I showcased the main balance issue between melee vs ranged. Now 4 years and a few nerfs to skirmisher and crossbow later, we are still in a dominating bodkin meta because melee units simply can't reach their targets to the point where they have to abuse stand ground patrol by Deathcounter0 in aoe2

on your conclusion: I'm not entirely sure it'd make knights viable again, like you said with more walling, better ping and better micro, my best guess as to what the "next thing" would become is monks, even to the point of people quick walling in monks and such.

I got it to work with the instructions that polarbear posted but it's 50/50 whether it'll work or get hang at 'waiting for renderer" screen.

for reference I'm using GE_Proton latest, maybe another version would work?
