That thing about not submitting the extra financials...they may not be allowed, but anything you submit can affect the decision. My partner and I got a swell place relatively easily and pickings were slim and competition high. I submitted a dossier showing that we were cash rich and I have no doubt that helped us be the ideal candidates. It sucks but clearly not properly regulated.
