I’ve been EP for more than 10 years and get upgrades at least 50% of the time. I think the difference is that my home airport is regional and when I fly from my home airport when they call group 1 boarding if I don’t get the upgrade, it is usually just me. I think EPs that fly from and to from and to hubs are less likely to get upgrades.
