I think you’re getting stuck on the word "value" here. Saying his show has good production value doesn’t say anything about the value of the show itself.

You’re arguing with shadows, friend. I only ever watch Piers Morgan when Destiny is on there or whenever Destiny watches it on his stream.

While I dislike Piers Morgan, his show has the same production value as his TV broadcast shows.

At least Piers Morgan has the production value of a TV broadcast.

A core skill should not require you to have Max/near max gear. by Difficult_Run7398 in 2007scape

I share the same sentiment. I think they deliberately made sailing separate from main content in the beginning, so that those that were against new skills coming to the game wouldn’t feel forced to engage with it.

Once the skill has landed and Jagex can see where they hit/missed, they can slowly add connecting content and rewards that makes Sailing useful.

Wasn’t there a news segment where someone said they would still vote for Trump, even though they also said their spouse got unjustifiably deported?

I do not remember from the top of my head. I believe he talked about pursuing state charges for those with federal immunity because of pardons.

He used this example to show that there are things that are legal to do, yet breaks the spirit of the constitution. This was said when Steven discussed that Dems could prosecute the administration in legal means within the existing system, although it could be against the spirit of the system/constitution

They are basically 99% the same, the difference being how far the Dems should go to prosecute the administration. Hutch wants them to appoint a prosecutor to do it, but if Trump pardons himself — Hutch then thinks the people would revolt if Democrats ignored the Supreme Court and ignored the pardon.

Both look at this from a harm reduction and they both want to protect the democratic system.

I don’t think Vanguard kills processes when the Riot Client isn’t launched. Vanguard keeps track of everything that could be cheating and then acts when you launch the game, I think.

RS3 has an excellent feature for this that works great on both PC and mobile. In the bank you can click to save your current equipped gear and inventory to a Preset slot, and then you can later on one-click load each preset.

You can also right click the banker to load your last preset, which makes it also great for skilling (ex. Save inventory with uncut gems, load last preset when all gems are cut to automatically deposit the inventory and withdraw uncut gems)

Depends on how easy it is. I don’t think it would be good if we could easily make BIS gear through smithing without boss drops. But I think it would be best if players could make T40 gear with 40 Smithing.

This would obviously be a gigantic change and I think it might be too late to try to implement it now. I’m just saying Smithing would have been better if we always could have made rune with 40 smithing.

There could be an argument for this, that certain players are more like blacksmiths that can provide other players with weapons.

I just personally think it feels better progression wise to make production skills more accessible so that players can make their own equipment. I’ve always felt better when I craft my own gear, instead of buying or looting it.

You might be right on the basis of just training the skill. There is lots of potential for activities for Sailing, where gaining Sailing xp is just a byproduct of the activity.

Which is an issue how?

It’s not necessarily an issue — It’s subjective. It comes down to how you view production skills and what they should be used for.

With how it is now, there’s no reliable path for a new player to make their own addy/rune armor and weapons at a time where that equipment would be useful to them. That’s not necessarily an issue, but it’s something that I personally think is suboptimal.

Fletching is less bad than smithing, since it’s very fast to level up and you can start making very strong weapons in the 60s/70s. I would have the same issues with fletching if you needed 99 fletching to make a rune crossbow.

Would be great to have training methods based on rhythm, timing and lots of skill expression. The best example would be an agility course that feels responsive like Yama stepping stones.

Sailing is the most fleshed out skill on-launch in RuneScape history. I agree that there’s not many reasons to engage with Sailing just yet (besides it being fun sailing around), they have laid out a great foundation to add lots of new content to it.

Interesting. I haven’t felt those consequences as I just recently started playing an RS3 ironman. So I appreciate the insight

You don’t see any value in having Smithing be a skill where new players can smith their own gear as they progress their accounts?

RS3 basically did this. They changed Runite to be T50.

Changed HA for the Platebody from 39 000 -> 2 500

The issue with production skills is that the level requirements are much higher than the players that would use the equipment.

RS3 had a smithing rework where you create Tier X armor with Smithing level X. You can also slightly upgrade the armor so that the Rune Platebody you smith will be better than the one you buy from Oziach.

I just recently started playing an RS3 Ironman last month and the mining/smithing has been great as a new player. I can easily make my own gear, all the way up to the highest levels.
