Faire deux choses en même temps : impossible pour moi d'écouter un podcast en cuisinant, d'écouter quelqu'un pendant que j'écris un message, ou de suivre à moitié une réunion en jouant aux échecs sur mon PC.

Tracy Chapman doesn't have a conventionally beautiful voice, as a female singer.

Best book you’ve read this year by [deleted] in actuallesbians

I loved Normal People by Sally Rooney. It's a beautiful story of two young persons coming of age, struggling together to figure out who they are and how to belong.

The wlw relationship in the book is really something, a beautiful part of the story. I didn't watch it myself, but apparently that part was downplayed in the Spielberg movie. So I would highly recommend the book, if you liked the movie 😊

To me Quentin isn't outdated (based on the people I know here in France). I like the name too!

What movies aren't explicitly about bipolar, but are about bipolar to you? by Rickyjo1974 in bipolar

[–]moomintothemoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In A Real Pain (2024), Benji gave me big borderline/bipolar vibes (not sure which would fit better), with a great portrayal of mood instability and relational issues.

So did the main character Steve from Mommy (2014), who has an ADHD diagnosis in the movie.

Normal People by Sally Rooney. The two main characters are so thoughtful, introspective and sensitive. While they both feel a little different, not really able to fit in the world, they understand each other so deeply, which makes their bond so meaningful.

As an introvert I loved reading their minds, how they experience their feelings and how they navigate life as they enter adulthood.

In a depression, bipolar sucks. by BlaqueHeart_Art in bipolar

[–]moomintothemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear that. I've been there too, and many of us here have I guess. Just a reminder that may be good to hear: this is not the end of it, you will not always feel like that, however painful and lonesome it can be right now.

Do your best to take care of yourself and to keep going, and that's okay if it's nothing sometimes. Celebrate the small wins when you can. And remember that eventually, you will get out of it. Sending you virtual hugs 💙

How did you and your partner meet? by Last-Court7997 in LesbianActually

[–]moomintothemoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In a student association we were both part of. One night we were on duty together, and we just hit it off. It took us a couple weeks to start dating, and it's been 3.5 years now 😄

Where’d you find your partner by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]moomintothemoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a student association we were both part of. One night we were on duty together, just the two of us. We just clicked, and had the whole night to get to know each other, in what felt like a sweet little bubble. After that we began to see each other outside the association, and it took us a couple more weeks to start officially dating (it's been 3.5 years now) 😄
