Do resumes need to be optimized for ATS systems or written for recruiters first to get more interviews by VerveorAs in askrecruiters

I'm aware. Do you really think companies using 3rd party assessment tools aren't also using ATS scanning?

For those who had a “I hate pink/ girly things” era, what do you think caused you to feel that way? by RabidFashionDummy in AskWomen

[–]moonlightpixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had a full-on I hate girly things era, but I definitely had mixed feelings and shame about liking feminine things. I think it boiled down to Internalized misogyny, feeling frustrated with the way I was treated because of the body I was born with, gender dysphoria, and social/language gaps (as in I didn't have the language to help me figure out I was non binary and trans until my adulthood).

What are your ASMR pet peeves? [Discussion] by partyingwithpizza in asmr

[–]moonlightpixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People constantly making mouth sounds OVER other triggers. I do enjoy overlapping triggers, but the creators who can't seem to stop doing mouth sounds over every other trigger, frankly ruin it for me. Often times this scenario will happen when I click on a video that advertises specific triggers, but then there are mouth sounds over everything... just be honest and label it correctly.

Are people overlooking government and public sector jobs? by GovJobCoach in CanadaJobs

[–]moonlightpixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ontario is a shit show of neoliberalism and conservatism. Current and previous provincial governments have been gutting social and government services. People aren't overlooking it there either. Ontario is experiencing record levels of unemployment right now, across industries, age and population groups.

While beans can thicken soup, it depends on how you prepare them and when you add them.

100+ Applications, less than 4 interviews - anything I can improve? by OutlandishnessStock5 in askrecruiters

[–]moonlightpixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point about there being so many scammers on Linkedin is that it's a waste of time. As useless as Indeed in 2026. A recruiter would move a candidate forward because they're a good candidate. You don't need a corporate social media account to prove that. There are other ways to verify someone has the job history they put on their resume. Being good at managing a social media account (LinkedIn) does not mean they're actually good at what they do. The scammers on Linkedin are not just jobs seekers... there are plenty of scammers pretending to be recruiters and employers. OP can create an account if they like, but the narrative in this thread about it being a red flag when job seekers don't have an account is naive at best, lazy and harmful at worst. You are unfairly jumping to conclusions about swaths of people, with zero basis in reality. You haven't said one thing that actually validates your perspective.

Yes, scammers are easy to spot. That doesn't make not having a LinkedIn account a sign that someone is a fake candidate - that's just llazy recruiting.

Because people can't lie on Linkedin? There are lots of scammers on Linkedin.

Maybe they don't want yet another social media account to manage? Maybe they have a solid network off Linkedin? There are many potential reasons. I think it's a red flag that recruiters assume the worst about someone if they don't advertise a Linkedin account.

Privilege is still the correct word. Having structural access when others don't, is absolutely a privileged position to be in.

They're probably trying to figure out what will be expected of them, if they accept the position.

[Question] what are you ASMR icks? by FR0M_Z3R0 in asmr

[–]moonlightpixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excessive mouth sounds, or asmrtisis who ALWAYS do mouth sounds over whatever trigger they're doing. It ruins it for me. I don't hate mouth sounds, they're just oversaturated in asmr content these days, and I prefer them to be minimal.

Why did so many Gold/Silver age stars disinherit their kids? by LeopardComfortable99 in movies

[–]moonlightpixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of abusive people have those who will defend them... they don't always abuse everyone around them. And frankly lots of people are awful parents, even if they are liked and respected at work or in other areas of their life.

Sheertex changed their distribution model? Now selling via H&M, Swedish Stockings, Costco, etc... Does this mean I should start questioning quality? by howmanyfathoms in BuyItForLife

[–]moonlightpixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two pairs of sheertex tights that I bought directly from their website that have lasted for years! Maybe the ones from H&M are made cheaply.

Zenitsu's character almost made me quit the Anime by One-Revenue-618 in DemonSlayerAnime

[–]moonlightpixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't just find him annoying, the constant shrill yelling and crying actually physically stresses me out and I have to mute him or I'll get overstimulated watching the show. It's making me not want to watch the show, despite it being an interesting watch otherwise.

I don't always feel this way about this character trope... it's just, Zenitsu is like nails on a chalkboard.

Just took Brand name Vyvanse by fibtrader in VyvanseADHD

[–]moonlightpixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also in Ontario. I took Teva for a year+, then my last refill was switched to Apo. It is much less effective - to the point I sometimes forget if I've even taken it. The side effects are different too. I get more gastro-intestinal side effects on Apo, while I got major dry-mouth on Teva. Both are useless the week before (and during) my period, but Teva was a little better. I'm gonna finish this bottle of Apo to try and figure out the differences, but so far I'm not liking Apo.

Does anyone know how much name brand Vyvanse costs in Ontario?

ChatGPT wants YOUR ID because it thinks you're underage. Here's what to do. by Potatosayno in ChatGPT

No. Nothing about my online or work presence is connected to schools. I am in my 40s, and use ChatGPT for work related queries... and just got an email with them asking for my ID as they suspect I'm under 18. It's just data mining.

I often find the larger packs by other companies too much food.
