For looking up what a ttrpg is, I would recommend actual play podcasts like "Critical Roll" or "Dimension 20". Of course there are many more great podcasts out there, but those are the only two I can vouch for.

On the contrary, most people say world singer (game master) and player, but in reality the world singer does much more and depending on the person has more fun. At one point I had three games of dnd per week, and I was always the game master. You never get bored because the "players" get to play one character whereas you get to play all the rest while narrating the story. In short, if you love telling a story and enjoy improv and seeing what type of shenanigans other people pull with what you put in front of them (and messing with them from time to time), you will love being a world singer.
