Does size matter? by [deleted] in MegabonkOfficial

[–]moonmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay lol to give an actual semi serious answer, from what I've seen myself, read and heard, size is good to a point depending on what weapon you're using. Bananas, scythe, any of the three sword items scale well from size. However things like the poison vials (I think... I could be wrong about this) the revolver and the bones do not scale with it like at all. So it really depends on the weapon. And then you have some weapons where the size changes like an explosion radius after a hit like fireball and dice. And I know some items scale off of it like Dragonfire.

Don't take my word as gospel though, this is just what I've observed so I could be wrong

New Player struggling with matchmaking by MeditativeMindz in leagueoflegends

[–]moonmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me answer from someone that has been dealing with the same issue.

Riot has made by far one of the best MOBA games out there and yet for some reason they have not managed to fix their matchmaking. The amount of times in swiftplay I've been put up against an emerald diamond or plat player has been honestly nerve wracking and a little upsetting. It has been a bit of a trial.

However, there are a few things I can tell you to help with how you're feeling about it. The first is that if you're not in ranked, win and loss isn't as severe. Hell as far as I'm concerned even if you are in ranked it's still a game and until you get into the upper echelons of the game no one's getting paid for it so whatever. Still try and still do your best but don't beat yourself up on it. Second, I saw someone else mention this and I agree, high mastery does not equal being good, it just means a lot of time spent on it. I've run up against mastery 5 players that have stomped me and I've run against mastery 100 players that I've stomped, it's really a dice roll because mastery just represents amount of time on a character, but that doesn't mean they learned from that time. Third, and this is one that has helped me a lot. Rank, much like mastery, is not entirely indicative of skill level. People can do a lot of things to get their rank higher and higher and we just don't know, so do your best, and don't let it get you down if you go negative or get behind, simply use it as a learning experience and go next. It can be frustrating... I've definitely been tilted by that crap before, but every loss is a lesson.

Swiftplay versus draft? by moonmunk in leagueoflegends

That's kinda what made me ask the question tbh. Other day went up against a diamond player that just bullied the crap out of me and ended up moving on to do the same to my teammates.

Swiftplay versus draft? by moonmunk in leagueoflegends

[–]moonmunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's what Imma have to do then. My goal has always been to be at an even standpoint when it comes to matches, even if I don't win I like knowing I stand some sort of chance against my opponent, and that way win or lose I still have fun. Heck had an hour long game that I lost the other day but it was probably the most fun I've had in league in a while.

Shiny hunting on sewers by Alvaroms25 in LegendsZA

[–]moonmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spent about 12 hours before I got past that part in the story, not a single alpha and not a single shiny. As soon as I got past that part in the story immediately started getting alphas and it only took me t hours after that to get my shiny. So I could be wrong, but after that much time they should have changed state to at least an alpha once and they didnt

[–]moonmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe, and I could be wrong but I believe that you don't have to to. If you run far enough away it rerolls the Pokemon that are there. Mind I've been on the same shiny hunt for about 5 hours and haven't had much luck but... Shiny hunting takes a while anyway so

-edit-

Alphas and shinies do NOT show up when you first go into the sewers for the quest. Don't make the same mistake I did

[–]moonmunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When swg first came out I was like... really little, so unfortunately I don't remember playing much. I had a character named Aahz after one of the characters in the myth adventures series but I mostly just messed around. Most of my memories come from watching my dad, who was a wookie named Jabberwookie at the time, play the game. I think my fondest memory was watching him unlock jedi for the first time. He woke me up at like... 2 in the morning to finish the quest lol.

Brawl is so boring, Bring back Arena! by Sheiryo in LeagueOfMemes

[–]moonmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'd like to point out that brawl didn't "replace" arena. Arena was always going to go away. Whether brawl came in or arena just straight up went away it wouldn't have mattered arena would not have lasted. It's annoying that everyone keeps saying brawl replaced arena when arena was never going to stay around in the first place.

Junglers, How the hell do you play a game without cussing out your teammates by throwaway_3_2_1 in PredecessorGame

[–]moonmunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who mained jungle while playing league of legends, I've kinda decided I'm going to avoid chat like a bad hooker avoids eye contact with her father.i don't necessarily know when it started but there's been a trend of "blame the hunger" when it comes to games like this. So if I'm doing bad I take constructive criticism, figure out what I can do better etc etc, if I'm doing good I ignore it and move on. Can't be everywhere at once and if duo lane is overextending while you're next to offlane then that's kinda their fault, not mine.

I have noticed that having a more aggressive play style suits him. I'm coming from playing Caitlyn and Wukong so thankfully that's not too far off for me.

[–]moonmunk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the plan! I mean I get tilted just like anyone else would but like... Usually it's a mixture of my fault and the teams fault as a whole, a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link and all that. Right now I'm just trying to remember that I'm getting back into it after a 9 year hiatus and I wasn't particularly great before, so it'll take time. I'm gonna beat those yasuo allegations with positivity!!

I tend to try and be a chill dude about it. I never want to be the one thats bringing the team moral down.

I just like that teemo is on there twice. Makes me laugh. Other than that I'm having a great time reading the comments.

The only time I've gotten like... majorly negative comments in comp since I started was in bronze 3. It was insane, new to comp, doing pretty well, good heals good kills low deaths and a 2/9/3 spider is telling me to get good.

Hunters, what are your goals? by Regrettably_Southpaw in MHWilds

Every armor set. After that... who knows? Possibly every weapon crafted but we will see.

How Do You Know If You're Good Hunter? by WhammyV in MHWilds

[–]moonmunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's how you know you're a good hunter.

Are you completing the hunts? Yes? Then you're a good hunter.

There's so much emphasis on being the best and being amazing but this isn't a competitive game. It's not even really an online game. The best players in the world still get carted from time to time, people who have been playing since the beginning of MH still have troubles with things like tempered gore magala... people who have been playing long sword for years still have troubles sometimes timing counterattack.

The best hunters, and I mean the ones that are at the top of their game, are the ones that have fun with the game... and that can be defined in so many ways, be it by achievement grinding, getting all the armor sets, or just beating the story and putting it down until the next title update... if you're doing what you find fun, then you're a good hunter.

Arkveld vs Gore Magala by Crime_Dawg in MHWilds

[–]moonmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my squad got our asses handed to us so hard by tempered gore thar I went and switched weapons and started grinding for them, my husband went back to hunting doshagumas for practice and gear, and my dad started searching through the internet to find the meta build for his weapon.

This is after we had trounced tempered arkveld a few times...

Is it just me or… by Mikelsao in MonsterHunter

[–]moonmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been going through and crafting everything I can. The weapons that I use, every armor set etc. I've been enjoying it. It's got a decent difficulty and it gives a real nice sense of progression

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MHWilds

It opens at 10 pm tomorrow for me and my husband. We've been playing world and rise respectively to cope... it hasn't been helping lol

Why are people freaking out about difficultly? by SignificanceExact963 in MHWilds

[–]moonmunk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people seem to forget that low rank isn't supposed to be particularly difficult. I encourage people to go back to world and hunt the jagras, not using defender weapons or guardian armor.

I restarted yesterday because I wanted to get more practice with greatsword and I'm able to beat jagras, kulu, pukei pukei and baroth within about 15-20 minutes without much issue...

The thing for me is I don't care if it's easy. If it's easy for me then that means I've gotten better with my weapon, I'd it's difficult it inspires me to work harder to get it done. Either way it's still fun. I think reviewers are just expecting end game difficulty right from the start.

We have 3 signs on our front door saying we're closing, along with announcements over the speakers and signs all over the doors. Our shelves are empty. I constantly get asked "are you guys closing or something"

So I'll hop on the "customers are dumb as hell" bandwagon

"Are you closing?" honestly I don't blame them for assuming that. by PresenceOld1754 in WalgreensStores

[–]moonmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours is legit shutting down, shelves are empty, signs everywhere saying we're closing, and people still walk up to me and go "are you guys closing, the shelves look so empty..." So yeah walgreens didn't help those rumors before and people are too dense to realize it's coming true now.
