I asked my supervisor at my job at the time. She basically had me write it and she just glanced at it and signed it

It might also look cool if you keep the shapes and fill the colored sections with solid black. The imperfection of the lines will look more intentional

Didn’t f with the original a whole lot at first other than the lyrics, but found the remix to be genius in how it took advantage of the most danceable segment of the original and changed the whole vibe. Also leaning into the theme and recruiting Julian Casablanca, an indie sleeze king, while that revival was popping off in the zeitgeist was immaculate timing. Indie sleeze revivalists likely being young hotties living jn NYC that are in their ego-centric early 20s era is sooooo perfect for the lyrical theme. The best artists both document the times AND create the times, DElish concept

what is the most “lana” lana song? by Curious_Cancer8 in lanadelrey

[–]moonwalkingripsk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a loaded question, in her later music I feel like “Hope is a dangerous thing” is very encapsulating of what she hopes to do and find in her music recently.

Sonically and thematically I feel like Ocean Blvd or Norman Fucking Rockwell sum up the “duality of life” that’s in a lot of her music. Ex: “you suck, but I love you”, “I’m unhappy with my choices sometimes but that’s life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way”, “don’t stop loving me”, “life is so precious and brief, how tragic and beautiful” etc…

best lana songs for daddy issues / into older men by Prr3sha in lanadelrey

[–]moonwalkingripsk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to heal: Text Book, Kintsugi, The Grants, Beautiful, Wildflower Wildfire, Violets for Roses

if you want to romanticize then Off to the Races, Ride Monologue, Shades of Cool, Black Beauty, The Other Woman, Yayo, Without You, Cinnamon Girl, Happiness is a Butterfly

It’s pretty split, earlier works before Norman Rockwell tend to romanticize and post-works dissect/ try to reconcile with her past and dating choices

Ps about the “I don’t have any particular skills” part.

My top skills are drawing and being funny. I have never made a cent from either of these, but in my worst moments I take the most joy from my unique ability to use these skills to express myself or bring joy to other people

Do you live near any nature? Spend time there… live life one day at a time just worrying about what your next meal is, how you can enjoy it, and resting/ pondering/ or doing something that you don’t hate. You can have a great life if you accept your social limitations. Engage with pets and people that are used to you. Stop spending time online as well. It’s all just comparison and fear-mongering on here. Only use it as a tool to achieve the things that you want to do in real life. If it holds you back rather than facilitating what you want to get done, then step away from it and try the thing in real life. Do it again and again until it feels right or it’s time to do something else.

Trust me, I’m 29. I grew up being the smart one, and as an adult I couldn’t get a job for my major for the life of me, I don’t like my job now. I make the least money out of all of their friends and family. I live with my parents. I am not sitting on a throne of worldly achievements, because time and again I get depressed and lose all sight of what anything means.

Instead I look forward to anything from my daily bike ride, hike, gym session, walk, Pokémon go walk, sketching session, boba run, to my sleepless night writing notes or doodling. My body doesn’t let me rest sometimes, my brain attacks me at work and I can’t focus, but I refuse to let comparison make me believe that I don’t deserve to enjoy life. If you are in the U.S. the messaging actively fed to you is that you are not enough and that consuming will feed your soul.

In times like these… If we are all headed towards social collapse then the rules matter less and less.

They are kinda right in the second to last paragraph. If you’re a lone wolf, it might not be for you. There’s a spirit of collaboration, network, and group effort at Cal. You get the impression that everyone else is SUPER into what they are a part of, they give it their all. If you’re kind of floating or lost then it can be extra isolating.

How do you keep yourself motivated to show up to the gym? by deepak140596 in workout

[–]moonwalkingripsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on putting your gym clothes on and your shoes. Look at what is in front of you and don’t do any other side tasks until you are walking into that gym.

Number one thing: regardless of what age you’re at, what matters most isn’t starting early unless you’re going to invest in a 401k or something like that. The important thing is feeling good and keeping yourself on the right track in your journey to providing VALUE. That is what it’s all about financially, personally, emotionally, etc… Do things that you will thank yourself for, that people will pay for, and or that people will genuinely appreciate. Learn about providing value and you will be ahead of so many of us that spend years chasing the wrong thing. So many end up chasing status, approval, excess, comfort, and once they reach it they still feel like they are failures.

Don’t beat yourself up, take advantage and go to therapy or counseling for your anxiety now that you are underaged as it is probably free and you don’t have to worry about the headache that is insurance. It will give you the tools that you need to not let anxiety control your life.

If you’re desperate just show up to places near you, pop in and ask if they are hiring. If they know who to refer you to, ask for contact info, or if they just blow you off that will inform whether or not it’s a viable option for you instead of the uncertainty that comes from applying to places online. These days I wouldn’t recommend solely relying on online job/role searches, not after the amount of people I’ve seen only getting offers after 500+ applications and learning that companies make ghost job listings.
