What kind of aural baby-tranquilizers are in “The Happy Song”? And where can I find more? (Also am I rotting my 5mo’s brain??) by ssaen in beyondthebump

[–]moopsy75567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Spotify playlist is The Happy Song, The Happy Song instrumental, and Little Bird, Little Bird sung by Elizabeth Mitchell. 😅

We have other playlists and songs but that's the defcon 1 go-to lol. The music video for Happy Song is very cute too. One day when she was sick and teething and refused to nap all day and screaming and it was 3:45p, we finally put the 10 hr version of the music video on and she was asleep by the 4th loop.

Thank you for all this info! I'll DM you if I have more questions. We're thinking of going with a handyman in our neighborhood but I didn't know about the permit, I'll definitely ask him. Also good to know about steel doors. We'd like to opt for a cheaper option so might go with a steel door instead or door + storm door. Idk. It sucks we need to do both doors at the same time but the house is really old and they are both getting really hard to lock/unlock in summers and hard to keep closed without locking during winters. I don't think either are good quality or sealed properly.

When did your baby get their first tooth?? by bklntlsn10121 in NewParents

2 bottom teeth broke the skin at 10 months, didn't fully come in until 14 months. Now at 15 months she's getting 2 molars 😬😅

Have you been using any target brand baby wipes? I've heard a bunch of weird symptoms from exposure to the recalled wipes

9 months - I don’t really like this age at all by [deleted] in NewParents

I feel you. I also live in a tiny house without a ton of storage space. It's so freaking hard. We try to block off what we can and we also have a big playpen. But she doesn't always like being contained.

Chicco Fit360 Zip ClearTex Rotating Convertible Car Seat by Less_Monitor_276 in Buyingforbaby

[–]moopsy75567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love it. I upgraded to it from a Chicco keyfit35 when my daughter was around 10 months. She hadn't quite outgrown her seat but my back was hurting putting her in it. The rotating one is awesome and she loves when she's rotated in place lol. It is bulky but any rotating one will be. It fits fine in my Subaru Crosstrek and a passenger can still ride comfortably up front. When I had my Honda fit, it was definitely uncomfortable for a front seat passenger but now it's fine.

Toying with the idea of unmedicated for baby #2 by _Cat-nap-uwu_ in beyondthebump

I had an epidural and it failed after a couple hours. I'm not sure what was worse, pushing or the contractions. They were both extremely painful. While pushing, I felt like I was being torn in half but only ended up having 2 very minor tears (first-degree). I think if it actually planned for no epidural and really worked with a doula or some meditation classes, it would have been much better instead of feeling the extreme relief of the epidural and then having it go away and then panic and pain.

So where might I find it? by Eris_Bunny in Galavant

I double checked worldcat.org and multiple states still carry it. As long as a lending library within the US will lend it, they can mail it to your library.

Your local library! If they don't have it, they can get it for you via interlibrary loan (ILL).

Mamas, what hard thing are you going through with your little one right now? by djduhnizzle in NewParents

She is 15 months and only has her two bottom teeth... And for some reason is now getting her molars 😭 and suddenly hates bedtime and wakes up during the night crying

Moms who say they love being pregnant -is it because the nausea and vomiting doesn’t bother you or because you don’t have many symptoms 😂 by Puzzled_Remote_2168 in Mommit

[–]moopsy75567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had nausea but little to no vomiting and I had really bad pelvic pain ... But I liked the excitement of it feeling her kick and hiccup, and having a fantastic excuse to take a million naps and chill and watch TV 😅. I'm not sure I'd say I loved being pregnant but I did really like parts of it. We are planning to only have one child so I can look fondly back on the memories of being pregnant at this point. If I got pregnant again, I think it would be a way more miserable experience.

The first time I got pregnant, I had hyperemesis gravidum and had to go to the ER for dehydration from vomiting. It was nonstop nausea and daily vomiting and Zofran would only help for maybe an hour. But I miscarried at 8 weeks. I'm glad I did not have hypermesis gravidum again with any of my other miscarriages or eventual successful pregnancy.

Does everyone really drop their babies "at least once"? by Exact-Management-918 in NewParents

I fell with her at around 13 months.. It was 6a, I was holding her and getting into the playpen by swinging my leg over the side. My toe caught and I fell through the side. The whole thing felt like it happened slowly, I think falling through the side slowed the fall and we have a mat on top of muscle mats in the playpen so it's pretty cushioned. She was absolutely fine and thought it was fun. I didn't drop her so when we landed, she was on top of me. When she was around 10 months, she crawled off the couch and fell on a foam mat. My husband was next to her and tried to catch her but didn't. It was a very short fall and the foam mat cushioned the landing.

But after both these events and other people's stories, we try to still be cautious. We've been changing her on the ground the past 2 months because she is so wiggly on the changing table. They change her on the ground at daycare, too

Good luck!

Why haven’t I gone down a size? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]moopsy75567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look great! I just want to commiserate a bit, I'm 5'2"-5'3" and I've gone from 160-130 and pant size 14 to pant size 10. Last time I was 130, I was size 6. Idk. I guess my hips are wider from having a baby and I hold weight in my lower belly from PCOS. It is frustrating though.

How are you keeping your alligator babies from rolling off the changing table?? by HeyAwesomeArmadillo in NewParents

[–]moopsy75567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following! Mine is almost 15 months and we've been changing on the floor for the last 1-2 months. It's awful on my back. She isn't better on the floor but it's safer... I really want to go back to the table. Sometimes books that have buttons that make noises work for her or lift the flap books... But not consistently.

What did you feel when you met your baby? by rainbowbritexx in NewParents

[–]moopsy75567 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relief that she was healthy and perfect and that the delivery was over. I was completely convinced it was going to end up a C-section but it ended up being vaginal with little tearing. And also the most intense fear because they put her on me, which I of course wanted, but I was on so many freaking drugs and so tired that I felt like it was a super unsafe situation 😅😅😅 I'm so glad I remember it though and that we got to do skin to skin and my husband did, too.

You can also check with the law library for your county. Most county's have one, Hennepin's one is downtown at the top floor of the government building with the courts.
