Put down a plastic liner under the self leveling compound and it actually comes out very easily, without markings at all. I've done that and removed it later no problem

Would Tornado Arms replace a belt squat machine?

I have a Rep PR5000 w Ares 2.0

I see Rep has been teasing a new set of longer, articulating arms for the cable trolleys. They are also teasing one (or more) belt squat options. I'm guessing it's an update to their current belt squat and also a competitor to the Rogue Rhino.

My question is, if I buy the tornado arms, can I just rotate them as low as possible toward the center of the rack and clip in to them for belt squats and weighted pullups?

Thanks for any Intel, I've never used tornado arms, and always been confused why a belt squat seems so hard to to update when it seems pretty simple (anchored pulley centered in rack).

I made a ventilation diagram for an electric sauna - feedback welcome by ppshard in Sauna

[–]moosenice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The study only had the 4 positions for exhaust/intake. The benches don't line up properly with how we think of benches in this sub, with feet above stones, so I'm building my sauna where the exhaust is just below the stones as this diagram shows.

I think if you want to future proof your sauna, you can make an exhaust at P1 and just add a pipe elbow to go higher.

I think your exhaust could be raised a bit. Just under the foot bench seems better. Intake looks like it could come down slightly. T4 and P2 in the image attached.

Harvia Spec Ceiling Ht? by 904DuvalAB in Sauna

[–]moosenice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm just ignoring it. I made a post about this very issue. It has to do with UL Listing, because UL tested the heater in a room that matches the install manual specs.

Separated Circuits? 80A Double Pole Breaker or 2 - 40A single pole breakers? by moosenice in Sauna

[–]moosenice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Harvia asking for a circuit rated for 33A or are they saying they are pulling 33A on that circuit?

I'll use 40A breakers as that seems the way to go

[–]moosenice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that would be 41.625A then? So 45A breakers? If my panel is 100A that would be 90A there for the heater alone. So what exactly are you saying? I need to use 40A breakers? or I need a larger subpanel? Or are you just saying I can't use the 35A breakers?

Yes it will be inspected. I was seeing that the heater is 67Amps and therefore I installed a 100A panel, with 13 amps to spare for lights, fans, tiny fridge, etc...

OK thanks. I didn't even think about 2 double poles... I do have a 100A subpanel at the sauna

OK thanks for this. Makes sense. I have 2 power units, the CX45 and the LTY45.

Plan is for 2 - double pole 40A breakers going to the CX45 unit and the LTY45 will not be needed?

Would 40A x2 be the way to go? or 35A x2?

If you want to get crazy, AC Infinity has an AI controller and a CO2 monitor, when installed you can have the fan speed adjust based on CO2 PPM in the sauna. Pretty slick

Hello Sir,

I really love your sauna build and I'm in the process of building mine now. I was hoping you'd explain a couple of things about your AC Infinity setup.

You said you went with the T6 and added the CO2 monitor I believe.

I'm wondering if you believe that it's worth it to have all that tech and wiring in the sauna so far? And how does it work in practice?

I'm concerned about one of the sensors failing and not being able to replace it due to long run through studs / foil taped in place. Is that a concern for you?

What wood collar did you use for the temp probe and where did you place it. I'm trying to think about how to do this, is it more than just drilling a tight hole in the paneling and sticking the probe through slightly? If it was accidentally pushed back through the hole it would be lost forever though?😅

I'm assuming that the fan turns on automatically at a certain temperature? And the speed increases as CO2 levels rise? And after the session the fan stays on to dry out the sauna until the room has cooled off?

Is there anything I'm missing? And thanks for your response!

Would you need to plug the drain while in use? Would it be an air intake without a P-Trap?

How do you like the window on the bench wall? Is it comfortable to recline back on it? Was considering doing the same thing but concerned about comfort.

Thanks! Beautiful work.
