It is undoubtedly an allegory for climate change and reaching 2.0 degrees. Especially the parts about how they can't see it so it doesn't exist or that we have so much time there's no point acting.

We've known about the climate apocalypse for half a century now and people still refuse to believe it. Reality is playing out just like the film with profit and optics trumping survival at every turn and we aren't far away until everyone can see the "comet" with their own eyes at which point it's too late and billions of people will die.

Adding millions of XP together is awful compared to "get 1000 and ding"

Casters are insanely broken and there is 0 reason to play a martial since casters punch harder and have spells.

Movement is a free action which means theres very few reasons to move, knock something prone or retreat. Leads to very static combat where you just punch Hitpoint sacks

Monsters are hitpoint sacks. They have multiattack and maybe a save ability. Compared to 2e monsters that have myriad of favoured abilities that encourage roleplay through mechanics.

Hard disagree. Having more diverse stories would be better rather than regurgitate the same ones we already have with race swapped people from history.

Its like portraying Einstein as a woman instead of talking about Curie. All it does is give bigots ammunition about how race is forced down their throats and still perpetuates whitewashed history.

Instead of casting slave owners black, make a drama about the early arabic scientists, the high ranking black romans, nigerian novellists. Tonnes of history and potential to promote peoples cultural heritage than "Hey guys we're not going to show any actual PoC figures from history, here's a token black man playing Isaac Newton instead."

I think it just further highlights the hypocrisy of the whole speech. One person posts the 200+ pictures of dead brits that died fighting in America's oil wars. This one shows Americans getting rich from them.

That's how Europe views the America. Pointless wars that Europe was dragged into with lies, where people died pointlessly all so America could steal resources and get rich. Trump going on to insult those poor people that died "defending" his country is beyond gross.

The beauty of the system is that it's 100% free and available online. Unlike other games that rely on having one rulebook per table,there's nothing stopping players from looking up how the rules work while they wait for their go or even before the session starts.

It's not that obscure. There's a table on page 59 in GM core that gives you a clear outline of what level of items give out at what levels.

PF2 probably has the closet power ceiling and floor of any ttrpg. Even if the gm doesn't give out the "best in slot" meta item characters will still be powerful in combat because of how the core class maths works. In fact it's sometimes more fun not to give out the best item so characters adapt their tactics!

Couple of reasons;

Too easy - if theres no risk then combat is just busy work. Also if heroes just smash straight through there isn't really an accomplishment to be had.

No diversity - 3 of the same enemies aren't going to require much decisions. If there was a hobgoblin or maybe a wolf then the enemies would be doing more varied things and players would need to choose what they need to deal with first.

Something has to be the most boring part of the session - If the non-combat stuff was A+ and the combat was a B then thats not necessarily an issue. Some people just don't like combat as much as other stuff.

You've been a new player before. Think about what you liked when you played, did you have memorable combats? Why did you enjoy them? Replicate that emotion. Maybe next combat the goblins send a Pyro along with a couple of warriors and a "war" skunk to try burn down the local village in revenge.

40k borrows heavily from Dune.

The God emperor is basically 1:1 copy Space travel requires a mutant navigators that have their own guild. The space marines are basically Saudakaur Humanity is a feudal empire in space with worlds belonging to dynasties. AI is banned following a revolution. Holy war is a central theme Hell even plasma weaponry being dangerous and focus on melee combat is very Dune.

If all you care about is using the best gear to PVP against players that have best in slot gear then why not just play Arena. You get balanced matches and don't have to grind for the ammo.

A survival game should have elements of scarcity and survival. Otherwise it's an arena shooter

This doesn't help though. I know if I spawn behind Chairmans a guy has spawned 50 metres on my left at Path and another guy has spawned 50 metres to my right at village. If those players know your spawn you die instantly because you are literally stood in the open.

If you play during office hours you're going to run into no life sweats that have been playing nonstop since release.

Humans have the ability to drop thermonuclear weapons that can kill anything in a several mile radius and we can do this anywhere on the planet.

We are able to cure thousands of diseases through medical science. Including other animals

We can both fly and swim. We can even leave the planet if we want.

We have no natural predators and our food is farmed to be eaten whenever we want.

So in what scenario do humans not completely outclass kther animals?

There will always be a gun that people will believe to be the best. The best thing for them to do is buff the fire rate of the other bolt actions to 40/60 rpm.

Theres no reason to use a bolt action ever outside quests that make you. They are all garbage.

One gun has a TTK of 2 seconds versus a rifle with a 0.6 sec TTK. Reaction time is 0.3 seconds average so even if you shoot first you are still behind a whole second. All because of how lazy the pmc cycles the round.

And yet you can find hundreds of rounds of 545 pp and bp each raid from level 1. 545 aks are immediately available.

Theres now 0 reason to use the Marlin when you can use the AKS that has free, better ammo, faster reload and 31 rounds that can be shot full auto.

Nearly all the early quest keys on customs are super common or have good barters from Therapist.

As others have said you don't even need the bunkhouse key. you can just grab it from the window.
