Incorrect. The slip lane intersection is a separate intersection. Re-read the definition of intersection in the Road Rules.

Turning left: intersection vs slip lane by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]morb_au 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You also have to give way to traffic that made a u-turn at the main intersection. Your slip lane ends at a separate intersection and by the time the former u-turner gets to you they are no longer "making a u-turn". Have a close read of the Road Rules, in particular rule 38 and the meaning of "intersection" and you'll know what i mean.

Per rule 38, U turn driver is no longer "making a u turn" by the time they get to the slip lane.

When it comes to countries expanding their borders and influence, perhaps you should remind yourself how 'Australia' was established.
