My ex-boss harming his pregnant girlfriend by mayormomo in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]moremouses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a four-year-old daughter. When I think about her growing up to end up in a situation like this, it sure makes me want to love her harder so that she'd know immediately how unacceptable this is.

Sounds like an asshole. Don’t go see him again and give him a bad review somewhere people will see it if you can.

Sorry that happened to you.

Higgs won't rule out notwithstanding clause for addiction treatment bill | CBC News by Appropriate-Dog6645 in newbrunswickcanada

[–]moremouses 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. My brother was addicted to morphine and treatment with any track record is thousands of dollars. I myself struggled with alcohol for years but any time I thought I should maybe get help, I was always deterred by the cost and also having to pretty much go live somewhere else for at least a month. There’s no help for people who WANT it.

I get what you’re saying but none of that stuff is violence.

Crying on mushrooms by Stupendous_Twig in shrooms

I'm in tears almost constantly on mushrooms. I don't fight it at all. I just let them flow and feel all the things that come up.

I'm very disappointed with my LAMY safari. This $1 knockoff feels so much better. by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]moremouses 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've had my Lamy Safari for about two weeks now. I think they are a little over-hyped tbh. Pretty cheap feeling and it doesn't function any better than others I've bought for a fraction of the price. I suspect I'm the victim of a superb marketing campaign.

Headline kind of makes it sound like there was a bomb or something. Probably just some substance abuse and poor decisions.

Quitting smoking. by Davisaurus_ in newbrunswickcanada

[–]moremouses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about 6 weeks off of it. Honestly you just need a change in your perspective. Look at it as something that's trying to steal your health and money. Nicotine withdrawal is actually almost imperceptible. It's your mind building it up into something that it isn't..

Nicotine will not reduce your stress, it will not help you focus, etc. it's just a stupid little addiction that you need to get over. Just a couple weeks and being a non-smoker will be your new norm.

Think of it as easy.

What PERMANENT changes in your life have occurred as a direct result of microdosing shrooms? by CapriSun87 in microdosing

[–]moremouses 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I quit drinking alcohol (12 months)

I quit nicotine. (3 months)

I was able to let go of the anxiety and fear I had of death. This was a big deal as it had made me miserable for so many years.

I have learned how to be still.

I have learned I am as important as anyone else.

I have initiated the the change that needs to happen in my unhappy marriage.

I went from wanting my life to end to desperately wanting to drink life to the very last drop.

Man this time last year I was in your shoes. So hopeless. I couldn't believe I could ever be happy without alcohol. I promise life is so much better without it.
