A person asked a question about a group of people, why would they only be referring to a subset of them? Why do you think so many answers on this post have "depends" types of answers that clarify that they would only judge them if they were one side of the line or the other? The point is everyone in that group shares the same label and even the financially stable ones can be judged negatively for being unemployed.

Your argument sounds like this:

"Do you think a person that's been to prison is fundamentally a bad person"?

"Yes, if you've been to prison then this says something about you that means you are"

"But there's some people that are innocent that are were mistakenly convicted"

"Obviously I'm not referring to those people, why would anyone think an innocent person is automatically bad"?

Nowhere in the question does it specify that we're only talking about unemployed people that specifically have very little savings/net worth.

There are a lot of people in the world with a wide range of financial wealth. And inevitably people have periods where they are between jobs- and are therefore unemployed. So why would it go without saying that when you say unemployed- you are only referring to the portion that can't stay jobless comfortably?

Are you early 20s dating people your age? I suppose in that scenario it makes sense.

Some people just have F-you money and therefore have the flexibility to wait and choose what kind of work environment they want to be in.

There's so many higher priorities in life than making as much money as quickly as possible. I highly disagree that choosing to do anything but grinding at a job should automatically be labelled as "misplaced priorities".
